“WOW WOW WOW!!!!! Seriously, if you haven’t tried them- you should. The wait was WELL worth it. My 3yo, husband and myself had the best experience here. The food is worth a million bucks and the service is matched equally! I had the best sandwich I think I’ve ever had (the gonzo), my husband had a burger (the market street burger); even he couldn’t dominate, and my daughter drowned herself in the incredible strawberry waffle for kids. Super pleased we made the choice to eat here. Definitely going to be a place we come back to often!!!“

“We split a popover as an appetizer. I could have eaten 5! So good! My fiancé got the burger, I got the chicken sandwich… then we swapped half of each. SO DELICIOUS! You could tell by the taste that you’re eating quality meats! I got a slice of chocolate cream pie to go. When I ate it later that evening, I knew I would return! Great, quick, and friendly service and everything was very clean! Thank you!!“

Eddies Drive In Cafe • $$
604 E Market St, Lockhart

“This place should get much more recognition than it has. Eddie's has been around since the late 1950's in some form. The guy who owns it now says his family has run it since 1969 or so. The owner grew up in the store. He went off to the army, served two tours in Iraq, then came home to Lockhart to take over the business. Most places like Eddie's have disappeared. Please stop by, thank the owner for his service to our country, then buy something! Support this or it will disappear, too. What should you buy? Well, the owner says that he is the only source of Schlitz beer in east Texas. He says he has people come from as far away as Houston to buy this beer. They buy it 10 cases at a time, I was told. So buy some of that and impress your friends! Look at the pictures to see what Eddie's is like.“
