I was needing a lunch spot on my way home from Lubbock so I did what I always do: I look for hole-in-the-wall spot with good reviews. I found Charley's and I noticed that they are known for their cheese steaks. This day I was hungry for a good old fashioned cheeseburger. I did not have to wait very long and the staff was friendly. I tried their French fries and teriyaki chicken from their store at South Plain Mall. They are okay but not that delicious and tasty as I expected. Their teriyaki chicken is bit salty. Their French fries are good. Price is reasonable.

The food is hit or miss, the employees do NOT seem happy at all. They have a high turn over rate. I see one if their employees at another sandwich shop we frequent and he's much happier there. So it seems their owner/manager is difficult to work with as I've noticed him not wearing his mask as currently required during this pandemic. He talks very rudely to his employees.
