“O M G! When I say this is the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten....I'm nit cluckin With you!! It was absolutely perfect from the decadent Brioche bun, the rich crispy but light batter, the juicy chicken, perfectly sweet slaw and sauce with JUST the right amount of heat. When they sat it in front of me I didn't think I could eat it all it was so large.... but it was TOO PERFECT to not enjoy the entire thing. I only wish they were in Austin also. If your ANYWHERE within an hour of this place, it's worth the drive. The employees were also delightful, cheerful and appreciative. 50 STARS!!“

“The food is great. Seasons to perfection and spicy just way I like it. The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed. It reminds me of going to my favorite corner store in New Orleans for seafood. If you know, you know. The customer service is great and the prices are fair. The wait can be a bit much at times but the food is always worth the wait. So I'm not complaining just stating facts. If you enjoy New Orleans style seafood, I highly recommend you check this place out and try to turkey necks you won't regret it.“

Their shrimp tempura roll is the widest I’ve ever seen and the lettuce is interesting—we both liked it. The three sushi roll lunch deal was plenty for two and I’ll bring my husband back to try their chirashi. This is healthy competition for the Edo Japan sushi buffet, and Yamamori’s fish cuts are thicker and seem healthier“

“Today was my third attempt at hoping to give this place another chance. Just as the two prior experiences it was horrible and the the absolute worst. It started with seating and continued to go downhill from there. The poor waitress, who by the way had only been on the job a week did her very best to try and save us from this disaster, how much can she do when she was only one of three servers working. The food was subpar at best and the think that a meal with an average price point of nearly $100 we would not have been served food to be eaten on Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. Three of four in our party ordered crab only to not be offered shell crackers or zippers, when we asked for some we were told they were locked in the office and the manager was in a meeting so she could not retrieve them! When we asked for the manager she offered an apology but confirmed this was the owner's policy, my guess is they must cost a million bucks to replace. The food was watery and luke-warm, the drinks had very little spirits and overall food was under seasoned. I beg you to NEVER wast your money or time on this place!“

“I’ve tried wings, fish, shrimp, and shrimp fried rice. Everything flavored well, proportioned well. Don’t care for the shrimp much, they’re large shrimp cut in half and sold as full when doing a combination plate. Only reason I don’t give 5 starts due to ordering my food and waiting on them to fix credit card machine, had to leave and get cash, and come back. Called to have food prepped since the process took 45 mins of my lunch, nothing was given for accommodations. However I do like the food and will still most likely return but with cash. Lol“

The young people working today, Saturday, April 25th, are professional, and kind. I like the twist to their Crawfish taste. Not the same boil flavor as others and reasonably priced. I ordered about 4 things and all are good. I will be back. I ordered take out, yet they let me dine in To eat one of the items. Nice people and clean restroom.“

“This is great if you want (what I call) Texas Cajun and not Louisiana Cajun. Their chicken fried steak and parmesan crusted chicken are both fabulous! The bisque is also amazing. My husband, who is from Louisiana, detests their crawfish. He says the Gumbo (which has a super dark rue) and the etouffee are ok but not his favorite. Overall, it seems like the fried and creamy sauced things are usually great. Also, we really like they usually have 80-90s music playing.

Updating (July 2026) to say that this place is hit or miss. When it's good, its great. However, more often than not, it's not as good as it used to be.“

“It's been quite a few years since I had been to a Captain D' s. The exterior has seen better days but it's the I was coming for. The inside seemed ripe for renovation. Food was rather prompt but the fish portions were long and skinny. Hush puppies were nice and hot as were the fries.
