“Truffle burger was delicious. Unreasonably long wait time of at least 40 minutss at around 2:30 PM on a Saturday. I was going to order another menu item but I thought about the wait time so I did not. There wasn’t too many diners though, unless they were short staffed.“

“Such a great spot in McAllen. I love hanging out in the bar for some good wine and great entertainment. The menu has just about anything you desire. I had the wedge salad, chopped and it was excellent and super fresh. Picked the ribeye medium rare and it came out perfect with a ton of flavor!
Incredible wine list along with cocktails and beer. Love eating here every visit to McAllen“

“I recommend La Eloteca when you’re craving that “elote en vaso” fix. I like that you have several topping options to enjoy that treat. However, folks.. Please have your food prep staff/workers change gloves after handling money or touching the checkout screen. The same checkout screen your customers touch. I was so turned off that I had to remind the female worker to change her gloves after she handled cash, the screen, then touched the opening of the bottle where the crema and mayo come out of. That’s cross contamination. She needs to retake that food handlers course again.“

“Today was my first time trying bison and I really enjoyed the burger. Their air fries are very good as well. Way better than deep fried. Their sweet potato brownies were delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We definitely recommend.“

“Can't say enough about how cool this place is, it's off the charts retro. The food was pretty good but very expensive. An old fashion cocktail was 13 alone my steak was 56 i believe. For two a nice meal plus tip was 200. They have a few less expensive meals, i would definitely go back to hang out and have drinks they have beer on tap that is cheaper I think it's 8 bucks a beer. They put a lot of thought into designing this restaurant it is nice.“

“I visited this place since I was down in mcallen for few days decided to check it out great service great food!! Our server was a young girl fer was attentive in everything we needed didn't have to ask for refills perfect customer service Our food was fresh then theres a dj at night which is awesome!!! Will definitely visit again“
