“My husband and I had date night tonight and decided to go to one of our fav spots, again. We've been going to Brandani's for almost 10 years. As always...our experience was superb, so I am taking a moment to give a review:). We're ALWAYS happy. The staff is top notch, the menu is consistently delish, we love the atmosphere, and it's a sweet bonus to be greeted by the Brandani's themselves. Whenever we find ourselves free to have a date night we can always rely on Brandani's for a lovely evening. Well, I somehow bumped my glass of red wine and it splattered all over my face and shirt tonight...but because the Brandani staff is so wonderful and we feel at home, it was easy to laugh off and continue to enjoy our evening together. Ha. Two thumbs up. As always! 🥰“

“I am a new regular visitor of Houston since my boyfriend moved here a few weeks ago and decided to order a random veggie sandwich and soup… the veggie Sammie and posole from local foods is probably the best veggie sandwich I have ever had!!! The posole was A+++++ and I am from El Paso Texas, where grew up on posole and have some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat. The sandwich was so flavorful and fresh, I added tofu and vegan aioli and could not believe how delicious this was! The posole was top knotch! Clean, tasty and the perfectly seasoned. It’s been 3 days since I had this meal and I am dying to go sit and actually eat here!!! Can’t wait to go and try something else! There were so many clean eats and veggie options I am so excited to try it all! Well done!!!!!“

“I absolute love this Postino at Uptown Park. I came here for an afternoon snack. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. I told her I don't drink alcoholic beverage. She showed me the non-alcoholic wine and it was so delicious paired with the bruschetta.“

“Great drinks and great service. This bar offers some of the best cocktails in the city. All their bartenders are true professionals and even with it getting very busy do provide great service.

The only downside about this place it is kind of small especially with how busy this place can get. You might have to stand to enjoy your drink but you will still have a great time.“

“Had the most delightful high noon tea experience. Brought in 15 ladies, and none left dissatisfied. Quick apology to other diners if we were too loud.
The table decor was soo immaculate. Food was delicious, though not enough for 15 women. I ate a savory scone, though the young lady said some sweet ones were part of it. Never saw them on my side. But everything we ate, was delicious.
Here was my observation about food served. None of the items brough out was evenly distributed, if each person was supposed to eat at least 1 peace of each item brought. I hope the chef and manager pay attention to that. Seems if you have a large group, you get served less food per person. 1 server for my party wasn't enough. Tea always got cold or finished before we could get a refill. The young lady though did her best, and I applaud her for her composure. Tea options were tasty as well, especially the toasted coconut and Chai.
I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the experience.“

“We went last night for my husband’s birthday. While the food was outstanding per usual, the service was deplorable. We waited 40 minutes before our order was taken and just sat with waters. Bread came after appetizers. Kids were completely done with their meals before adults received ours. Difficult experience with two small children. When we first got there, only three other tables had people at them so it wasn’t busy. Definitely expected better service.“

The shop has plenty of seating and good vibes, but most of the chairs are fixed without backs. That means the few tables with benches and back support are usually taken, leaving the rest a bit uncomfortable if you’re hoping to really settle in.

Service is consistently slow, no matter the location. Even if we’re the only ones in line, there’s always a wait for drinks. That said, it’s still a nice spot with a warm atmosphere, good coffee, and a laid-back feel — just don’t come here in a rush or expecting to “post up” comfortably for long.“

“I was there yesterday with my family for my granddaughter’s birthday. It was the first time for all of us. The workers were very nice food was great. I even took have a dinner for my husband and his parents. The only complaint is that I did not get the gravy for the mashed potatoes. Bummer, since I live too far to go back for it we had to do without. So check your order before you go. This was my only complaint. The smothered chicken was excellent, squash casserole too and the potatoes tasted great, even without the gravy.“

“We went for their traditional Thanksgiving meal and it was excellent. The portions were large and more than enough for all party members. A couple in our party ordered steaks and were very happy with the quality and cook on the steak. The service was excellent. We have dined at other locations of Capital Grille and the service and quality of the food has always met expectations.“

“Now that Thai Gourmet is out of business, this gem is my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. Try their Crispy Chicken Fried Rice and you won't be disappointed. My kids love that dish so much that they inhale the food as soon as food arrives. Every time!

“The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff’s attentiveness cannot be overstated; they were just incredible, especially our server, Ashton.

As for the food, don’t miss out on the lamb lollipops, Parmesan fries, or Oysters Rockefeller. They were so good, especially the oysters and fries! As for dessert, the bread pudding was magical. Cant wait to go back.

Oh, and if you like mezcal, the Scorpion’s Kiss - one of their specialty cocktails - is the perfect mix of smokey and sweet.“

“Living nearby Slowpokes is a huge reason why my wife and I moved to the apartments we now live in. This coffee shop is one of the best in the city. The vibes are consistently relaxed and friendly, the service is always personable and kind, the coffee is always great. The shop strikes a great balance between aesthetic and cozy hipster interior. Slowpokes is truly the place to be.

I have especially appreciated the friendly conversation I’ve gotten to have with several of the baristas especially Glory and Darrian. They work hard and yet make time to chat with anyone. I always feel right at home at Slowpokes.“

“I heard through the grapevine that Italiano's had the best lasagna in the area.
It was made with ground beef, not Italian sausage and the sauce was uneventful. With that said, they had enough cheeses to make up for that, somewhat. (fwiw, I've been exposed to authentic Italian in multiple stages of my life - even variations).
I'm giving the place 4 stars because we had two entrees, a slice of cake for desert and non-alcoholic drinks and the bill was only $35. You can't do a whole lot better than that.
