The area is unassuming, and you really wouldn't expect the diverse menu. Do not sleep on this place though. My wife got the 2x2x2 breakfast with CC pancakes, and I ordered a Mexican Benedict with Chorizo and Chipotle Hollandaise. Both orders were phenomenal. The crispy Yukon potatoes were crispy and soft all the same.My wife ordered a fresh juice, and I ordered the Coffee with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon (forgot the menu name). I will say the house rocks margarita was not good. It’s either the mix or way too much lime. I couldn’t taste the tequila at all. My wife and I each got one and left them both. Maybe they can make one fresh or have a different type that would taste better. Over $10 each not worth it. The food is great though.“

Ricky was my bartender this particular day and he gave me the best drink choices. He was so friendly and down to earth and I ended up spilling my whole life story to him. “Good Mexican food in a great setting. They did not skimp on the fillings. My wife's cheese enchilada was bursting with cheese. My chimi was equally well filled with fajita meat. I cheated with a combination regular and white cheese queso. A bit spicier than usual, but boy, it was good. The chili relleno was a gooey mess after I broke it open and the cheese oozed out. But boy, it was good. My wife went for the fajita nachos. I have no idea how good they were since she would not give me any.When construction in downtown Garland is finished parking will be much less of an issue but it is not too bad right now. You will have to park a city block away (try heading north-east). It is well worth it.9/1/23 progress on the roads is mostly finifhed so parking is a lot better. The restaurant is doing a little remodeling to the outside and to the dining area, but it does not interfere with the dining experience. The charm of the old building definitely is still there. Food is still excellent2/24/24 No real changes to the restaurant except for the big TVs above the front windows. They really are not needed and do detract from the ambiance of the old building. But with the new park in full swing, the people watching is much better and the neighborhood is much improved. Parking is much better.“
