“Lunch is the best time to go. Always fresh food and they will accomodate changes to the menu with a smile. Salsa is really good. My wife and i have been going here since 1985. Some things never change...and that's not a bad thing.

“This was our first time at the new location and we loved it! Great food, great drinks, and great service Carmela's gets a 10 out of 10 from my family. The waitress was amazing checking on us often, refilling our drinks before they got low, as well as interacting with our 3yr old daughter who loves to talk! The manager came by our table and checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. He is the one who told me I should try this weeks special the ceviche! “I loved this place. I ordered the combination which comes with an entree, egg roll, steamed rice, fried rice, or noodles, and choice of beef, chicken, or pork extra side dish. I had the Pepper Steak with fried rice, vegetable egg roll, and sweet and sour chicken side. This combination plate out me $12.95. I thought this was a very fair price for dinner time with so much to offer. The pepper steak was hot and fresh, the rise was fully cooked, but not clumpy. The rice still was fluffy. The portion sizes were more than adequate. The egg roll was also hot and fresh, light and crispy on the outside, and soft and steamy on the I side. It had a well cooked blend of veggies, and the crust was flaky. I thought the egg roll was perfect. They also knocked it out of the park with the small side of sweet and sour chicken. It was fried perfectly and it was fresh unlike some Chinese restaraunts that leave it under a heat lamp this chicken was made to order. The chicken was tender and the breading was crispy, and this was hot and fresh as well. The sweet and sour sauce was good. The service and cleaninliness of the establishment dining area was also great. I took the food to go, but went in and pucked it up and it was still hot by the time I got back to my hotel. I spoke to the owner while I waited for my food and he is focused on customer service. All the way around I would give this five stars. Support a local place that cares about product quality, product presentation, and good service. I am from out of town and I want to go back here when I visit again. I didn't snap a Pic of this meal because I was starving and didn't hesitate to take a picture before eating. Perhaps I will capture a puc on the next visit.“

“The best Pho in town. Small restaurant, but the best food! I am eating the Pho Ga, and previously I was here and ate Pho Bac Biet. I haven’t had a good Pho in this town until I found this restaurant. They serve the Pho in ceramic bowls, big plus! I can’t stand plastic plates.

“We went with our friends Kenny & Dena to eat at Charlie’s Bar-B-Que & Catering this afternoon in Beaumont. It is some of the best BBQ around. While eating we seen a picture of Charlie and Aaron Franklin standing together under a tent. Charlie’s wife came over to ask how our food was and I asked her about the picture, she proceeded to tell us how they received an invited to cook at Aaron Franklin’s BBQ cook off in Austin, she was so nice. After we finished our meal Charlie came out to check on something, and we stopped him and started talking with him about how he Smokes his meat, type of wood he uses….etc, he was such a super nice friendly guy to talk and visit with. I would highly recommend if your hungry for some BBQ, or need an event catered, to give them a try. Their BBQ is delicious. Oh, I almost forgot, then we went to DQ in Nederland for some ice cream to complete our evening of festivities……..LOL 😂“

“Never really ate this type of food…tried it and been hooked ever since. I came here to really say that I’ve tried other places like this one since and nothing comes close to Pho Neches. This is the only place I come to….at least twice a week!“

They know exactly how to hear that your food is incorrect and then laugh at you while you are leaving the restaurant. Furthermore, while you have the courage to discuss the matter with the hostess the wait staff is will continue laughing at you. We did request to speak to the manager. The hostess had more compassion. We were offer a coupon for our next visit. We declined. No meal removed or refunded. We love to visit local establishments and support as often as we can. I hope things will improve and no one else is made to feel this way.“

“Server not attentive, made mistake in placing order and realized it when he brought out order. Still forgot one item, didn’t want to wait for it to be made. Employees busy socializing with each other and ignoring customers. Under cooked broccoli and carrots, hard as rock and almost raw, they need a timer in kitchen. Shrimp and fish were good. Four stars because server needs to pay attention to customer not be socializing with co workers.

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu needs improvement, maybe add side item like fresh fruit.“

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“

“I’ve been a few time for breakfast and each time it has been made fresh right in front of me. Today they were making the tortillas when I went in and I got one right off the grill! Everything I’ve had is delicious, it’s super clean inside, and the staff are friendly.“

“I was at the drive thru, saw 4 cars cleared ahead of me and I waited at least 15 minutes, then I place the order go to the window and I was told they just sold out of fried catfish. He said he had the sides ready, so I switched to fried fish. I waited another 17 minutes, the whole time looking at my order sit there. Drive thru rep never said a word. Finally she opened the window never apologized the long wait, really didn't say anything except the total that was owed. I got home and no roll or tarter sauce. Horrible service.“

“We have been avoiding this place the last couple months due to bad service but we went the last 2 day in a row and got the same server Jason and he did awesome taking care of us and accommodating and makeing it happen with our crazy kids .
