“Ribs had an inedible crust and were very dry. I went to the soft drink machine to get root beer and got only carbonated water. Loaded potato didn’t have much meat on it. Took longer than normal to get our food. Brisket beans and potato salad were excellent, though. But I think I’ll stick with Soul Man’s.“

“First time visit the day after Christmas- LOVED it! Chopped beef sandwich full of lean meat with no fatty fillers. Side of beans topped off with a squirt of BBQ sauce rounded out the yummy meal. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive! Highly recommend for your BBQ craving.“
“Oh my gosh y’all Josephines Soul Kitchen is soooo good! I’m from NC…reminds me so much of food from back home. Definitely try the smothered chicken….falls right off the bone 🤤. I got a plate today on Easter with smothered chicken, dressing, mac-n-cheese, and cranberry sauce……tastes amazing! I also got my husband the pork chops. Everything is delicious!“

“We were recommended here by a dear friend. It was for our son's wedding. We tasted first, talked with him second, & hired him third! Some of the BEST BBQ around. We served up 50, & had none left over. DEFINITELY worth the reasonable catering price!“
