“Really great breakfast place. Went two days in a row on a short trip.

Portions are very reasonable, not huge or small. Pancakes and sausage one day, bagels and lox the other.

Coffee was already kept full and the staff was great too“

“We had a typical but delicious country breakfast at the Union Street Diner. It was busy on New Year’s Day, but our food was fast and the service was great! We did have a little bit of a wait (15-20 minutes), but the train vibe and food were worth it. \n\nGood value for the money.“

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!“

Today I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with Tater Tots and it was very good! The Burger was delicious, Tater Tots had some seasoning on them that made them extra flavorful, and the Sweet Tea is always Awesome there. Will definitely be back!!“

I was a little worried at first because there were a lof of bikers there, and well, you've seen those movies, but the lady at the bar immediately put me at ease. She was so friendly and welcoming! Do NOT eat here if you’re in New Braunsfel! If you’re just looking for some drinks and music, this place has a descent atmosphere but otherwise stay away. It’s very pricey!“

“Saturday afternoons are lively here at Freiheits. There were lots of tables still available and yet this fine establishment still seemed quite busy. Wendy was our server. Even though she seemed to be running around everywhere at once, breathless, her timing was always impeccable with regard to our table. Wendy's visits to our table were never rushed nor pressured. She made sure our orders arrived in prime shape and our beverages consistently topped off. Our food was nothing short of amazing. The burgers we ordered were tender and juicy. They were neither bricks nor dripping down our arms. The country fried steaks we ordered filled the entire plate with a delectably fine Southern crunchiness (the breading) enjoying the succulent, flavorful steak. The portions were large and we were pleased to be provided with a takeout box to continue our stellar dining experience with subsequent meals. I gently reheated my country fried steak in a dry cast-iron skillet for several minutes for breakfast Sunday morning accompanied with some eggs and hash browns. Our expectations were met. Compliments to Wendy and the chef.“

“Was so hopeful, but the pizza was disappointing. My carry out oder of "The Big One" was a disaster. I wish I could have attached a photo. The pizza did not look anything like the photo. Crust was flat and without rise. No red onions present, kalamata olives were replaced with canned black olives, and is that fresh basil on the pizza in the photo? Unfortunate and very regretable.“

“It's a great bar. There is a large menu for a bar but it is mostly deep fryer type food and well done at that. One really great bar keep and two that really wanted to be somewhere else. Great location, its off the main drive, and since NB needs to charge for parking on the main drive its a great area. Setting is laid out nicely. Nice outdoor area as well.“

“Just tried this place and man those wings slap! My bf had these blueberry wings, weird combination but dam those wings were so good! Sweet and savory. I had the lemon pepper bc its my favorite flavor. They were so crispy and seasoned very well. The waitress Zoe shout out to her, she did her job too, beyond nice and attentive.
