“Fantastic bbq. Gotta love this little hole in the wall. I got brisket and ribs and was not disappointed. The sides were killer too. The combo plates are a great value, if you do it a la cart (by the Lb) it can get A little pricey but definitely worth the splurge. Friendly staff and good service. Love this spot!“

“Good BBQ at fair price. Walk up counter. Cold sides in refrigerator case, warm sides dipped up for you. No plates, just butcher paper and Styrofoam bowls. Quick easy. Picnic type tables with chairs. Typical BBQ place atmosphere. Ordered 1/3 lb sliced beef, potato salad, beans, drink. It was at least $2 cheaper than BBQ place down the street. Just as good. Will go back.“

“Pop’s BBQ was sooo good! We tried it for the first time today (9/1/24) and really were blown away. We had the brisket, ribs, and banana pudding. You can absolutely tell the amount of care that is put into prepping and cooking the food. We will be making this a tradition to come back each month, for sure.“

“It’s been a few weeks since I last had H-E-B Texas barbecue, and somehow I forgot just how ridiculously good that brisket is. One bite in and—boom—instant reminder. Juicy, tender, piled high on a toasted bun… I added coleslaw and went full Texas-size. Honestly, I almost needed a nap halfway through.
The brisket-and-pinto beans? Let’s just say they did not skimp on the brisket. Flavor for days, just the right amount of sauce, and I even topped it all off with a little extra spicy sauce because why not?
They had just opened at 11 a.m., and the service was excellent—shoutout to Desiree! Food came out hot, fast, and smelling like happiness.
I’m moving out of state soon, but I already know that the next time I’m back in Texas, this is my first stop. Five stars all“

“Went in for Ash Wednesday lunch and the place was packed and for a good reason. The line moved quickly and the service was great. I had the fish lunch plate with green beans and potato salad, fish was hot and very tasty and the green beans and potato salad were perfect. I always get the green beans and potato salad and have never been disappointed. There were 4 of us and all agreed that it was a good lunch“

“This has been mine and my daughters favorite spot for years, but recently we’ve gone 2 times in a row and they were out of ramen. That’s what my daughter gets and both times we’ve had to leave and go somewhere else. It’s disappointing but hopefully the ramen will be back and we can start going again. Food has always been wonderful so I’m definitely missing it now.“
