“We went for our first time. We were the only ones in the restaurant and service was very poor. We waited over 15 minutes for our check while the owner sat at another table chatting with someone. Food was good however the menu needs improvements. The descriptions were very vague and it didnt seem like a menu for a mexican restaurant.. And I have never been to a mexican restaurant that doesnt serve chips and salsa.“

“Hubby and I just took our three small dogs here to eat. What a pleasant experience! Pet friendly out front eating! Reagan was our server and she was excellent! Sweet, knowledgeable, courteous and she checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Food was delicious! Carne guisada, enchiladas, guacamole-all top notch delicious! “This place is not huge dimension, wise, however, this place is huge in flavor and authenticity. If you want the most exquisite and most delicious tacos and Gorditas in America, this is your place. The freshest ingredients are used. The meat is seasoned to perfection without an over salty or over greasy feel. The vegetables are fresh. Everything is made to order. The staff is simply wonderful! You can get two freshly made fresh for six dollars. You get much more bang for the buck. If you live anywhere near New Braunfels, or if you’re just passing through to go to Austin or San Antonio, this place is right off of 35 very small location, but like I said, it is big in flavor! This should be a true bucket list place to visit.“

“Today, my husband and I decided to get lunch at Las Palapas at Creekside in New Braunfels, on our way to Home Depot. We were greeted quickly. We were seated in Brooklyn's section. The food was hot, drinks were cold. Food arrived quickly. We had the Enchilada verdes plate and the super bowl, with a coupon for the mama ruth flauta plate. They were good, the shredded chicken was over salted but still edible. Our server, Brook, came to take our order quickly, when we ordered we asked for our drinks with no ice. She brought out mine correctly but my husbands had a full a glass of ice. She took it back and fixed it. While we were eating, she checked on us once after bringing out our food. When we asked for our bill, we asked for the military discount. When she brought out our bill, we handed her the gift card we had along with 20.00 cash to make up the difference. When she returned she brought out two 5 dollar bills. our change was supposed to be: $10.55. When we noticed it, we asked the other waitress in the area to ask her to come back to our table. When she was called to the table for us to explain about it the other waitress in the section was still there. When Brooke was told about the fact that we wanted the 55 cents, she took an attitude about us wanting our 55 cents. Saying: they want the 55 cents? while she was standing right in front of us. We should have called the manager at that moment. The way I feel is that she took the 55 cents. She should have given us the entire amount of change per our receipt, allowing us to choose tell her to keep it. As it was we were going to give her an 11.00 tip, once we discovered the change returned to us was not correct and she displayed an attitude, we changed the amount of tip to 1.55. We have talked to the manager about this issue as well. I used to work waiting on tables, I always give good tips, and I know the work is hard and sometimes you get bad customers, however: NEVER did I not give back the full change on the receipt. In my book that would have been considered stealing from the customer.“

Carne guisada: gravy was on point, but the meat was a little dry in the middle.
Picadillo: flat-out amazing. Perfect flavor, no complaints there.

Tortillas are homemade — tough to beat that. Service was fast, and the drive-up attendant was helpful and on top of it.“

My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! “I am SO IMPRESSED with the delicious, FRESH taste of the chicken tacos, rice and beans! We tried rhe drive through to order the tacos the day BEFORE and I fell in LOVE with the taste!

I decided I wanted to dine in today to leisurely enjoy my food.

I ordered the chicken taco plate and it did NOT disappoint!!!

The beans were smooth and creamy, the rice was fluffy and well seasoned! The al carbon chicken was AMAZING!!!

The price was very reasonable as well!

The dining room was clean with plenty of tables.

The customer service was great! Very nice gals!

Other than the restrooms being outside, it was a very pleasant dining experience!

“Their food is consistent so if you like Las palapas, this one is no different than the others. The only issue I run into is whether they're busy or dead. It takes a long time to get the attention of somebody to seat me. I usually come in alone so I don't know if they kind of glance at me and assume I'm there to pick up doordash or something like that. But I just want to sit down and eat while I'm on my lunch break. It happened on basically every occasion that I've went there, by the time I'm seated by the time my food comes I have about 5 minutes to eat and run and that's that I get an hour break. I'm a very shy and non-confrontational person so it's really hard to navigate these kind of issues. It's the job of the restaurant to take initiative and greet people and ask them what they want.“

“I just moved to New Braunfels from the Austin area. I ordered my usual two 4 item breakfast tacos. The tacos are double in size from what I am used to in Austin. It's also a sit down place with awesome service. I went early on a Sunday morning and saw 6 servers there. And they have a patio that you can bring your dog to. The food was excellent and I could tell they used fresh tortillas.“

“It's a great bar. There is a large menu for a bar but it is mostly deep fryer type food and well done at that. One really great bar keep and two that really wanted to be somewhere else. Great location, its off the main drive, and since NB needs to charge for parking on the main drive its a great area. Setting is laid out nicely. Nice outdoor area as well.“
