The waiter informed me that their special for the day was rainbow trout from Colorado. I decided to give it a try with grilled vegetables and a salad.

“We were recommended this place by some people in the surrounding area. We were here traveling from Florida and this was hands down the BEST bbq and friendliest staff. Wes and his dad were the most genuine people. We ate here 3 days in a row it was so delicious. The burgers, burnt ends ans pulled pork sandwiches were the best Ive had. If you have room for dessert, the peach cobbler is the way to go.“

“Eating here was nothing short of amazing! My table was not ready at first, so the host directed me to the bar to have a drink and/or some appetizers. I went to the bar to have a cocktail known as The Diamond which was so nice and smooth. My table ended up being ready after 15 minutes after which I was directed to by the hostess downstairs. Ms. Debbie was my server and Mr. David assisted her. They were absolutely wonderful! They both very attentive, professional, and nice! They made my evening! All of the staff were wonderful! I had the Lobster bisque which was so smooth and creamy. I then had the central cut filet mignon which I asked to be butterflied and served with the famous Diane sauce on the side. I also had a half portion of the asparagus and mashed potatoes. All of the food was so delicious! I also had two strawberry lemon drops which were absolutely gorgeous! I would have tried dessert, but I was full after everything I had! I will be going back to eat at this restaurant when I go back to visit, and I will definitely try something on the dessert menu the next time around!“

“The food is worthy of 5 stars, but the service on our last two visits was terrible. They have an extensive menu with all of the better known Thai favorites and some interesting (and tasty) variations. The Pot Stickers are great. So is the Tom Yum Thailicious - their spin on classic Tom Yum. The Pineapple Fried Rice is addictive. Highly recommend the Pad Thai. The Hostess was as friendly and engaged as she could be, but on the visit before last our waiter spent most of his time sitting at a table looking at his phone, and when he occasionally thought to actually check on us he was surly to the point of being almost non-conversational (rude?). On our last visit it was the same story. We actually asked the hostess if she could please seat us in a section of the restaurant that we thought was not his. She gladly obliged, but it turned out that we miscalculated and wound up with him as our waiter again. This time he spent less time checking his phone, but his attitude and level of engagement was no better. We love their food, so maybe we order food for pick up in the future. We saw a steady steam of customers picking up orders, so maybe that's the way to go. That way we're not expected to tip a rude and inattentive waiter.“

We are huge fans of the red velvet and chocolate chocolate chip which pair beautifully with their cream cheese frosting and are always so moist and wonderful. However, the customer service is what really sets this location apart. I was greeted warmly by smiling faces who were eager to help and watched several customers get in and out super quick while I was there. I had a special request and the owners were happy to try to make it happen and the results were better than I could have hoped. “I have driven to the Hulen St. Unrefined location for 4 years to order my nephews’s special corn and gluten free vanilla cake with strawberry frosting for his birthday. My sister told me Cookies, Crust and Crumb bakery was now owned by Unrefined and it was in Hurst and much closer for me. Ordering was a breeze and the cake was the best one we’ve had. They said they quoted me a much lower price than normal and would honor that price. I wear hearing aids so didn’t hear the price quoted and told her I was prepared to pay the correct price and she insisted I should only pay what she quoted. I was very pleased with the service and the cake got rave reviews from all who ate it even our server at our restaurant celebration raved about the cake. We should have picked up cards from the bakery to hand out! Great experience all around. Highly recommend.“

The chicken was fresh and cooked perfectly. My pasta was al dente with great tasty marinara sauce and masorella cheese. She's quite shy but we still wanted to have the goofy birthday experience that we had growing up (coming to Joe's Crab shack for birthday celebrations has become a tradition in our family). Sidenote: Every time we go here we always get the Great Balls of Fire, the painted crab dessert and the "Shark Nibble" drink, all of which are 100% worth getting every time.
