“Go see Derek and his family!!! Y'all come get y'all's comfort food! This place is where it's at! The service: everyone is kind, you are family here! The food comes out quick, they won't leave you hungry. The atmosphere: very cool inside, almost gives you a nostalgic feel. It's very homey and welcoming, and finally.The food: AMAZING. To die for, even. Everything is homemade (including the tortillas.) The chips and salsa tell a lot about a restaurant, and they are the BEST in Atascosa. We got Cheese Dip, the #10 (cheese enchiladas), bacon and egg tacos and a shredded chicken taco. There was nothing left on our plates, and we even took food to go ?Their hours accommodate everyone, Monday through Sunday! Give them your business, they deserve it and you won't be disappointed!!! ? ❤️❤️❤️”

“Rick and his staff are amazing! We have been to the restaurant several times over the past year, at different times, and the food has always been great. In fact, I would venture to say they may make the best bbq we've ever had. They recently catered a wedding for our family, and everyone loved it. We definitely recommend them, you won't be disappointed!!”

“This rating is entirely based on my 6 year old's impression of the place. I wondered why it was called Shifter's and found out during the visit. Everyone goes there, but it's appeal is the crowd of car enthusiasts that showed up in their Mustangs and Porsches. He went wild over this.”

“Delicious!! Tried this place out based on other Yelp reviews, and was not at all disappointed. Drive-through was slow, but service was great and food was delicious. I had the bee fajita salad with extra guacamole, and I would order that again, although there were so many other yummy-looking items on the menu. Also asked for their extra spicy hot sauce; it is a light orange sauce that had the best flavor and was spicy as promised. Will definitely go back again on the way to and from the coast.”

“We ordered the queso supreme and it was wonderful. I had the carnitas and they're excellent. I tried the guac, and as someone who doesn't like guac, it was guac I would eat regularly. My dinner companion had the carne guisada and she loved it. I tend to eat slowly when I really enjoy what I'm having and my companion speeds up; I finished my food after she did which is a rarity. Two thumbs up.”

“Went through the drive thru,it was clean,the speaker worked well,and the attendant got my correct order. We ordered tacos,all of them were good. The drinks were good as well. They only failure was that the attendant did not put any napkins,nor strap for my drinks. Not even any condiments for our tacos,which no client need to ask for,since it's common sense to add to any drive thru take out bag. Their manager has to retrain their workers,so they can better serve their customers.”

“If you want good barbacoa, the best menudo, excellent service, and a clean establishment, then you need to come here. I haven't tried their Tamales, always sold out, so it must be good. Go early, they sell out of everything by 10 am.”

“Ellie and her crew from La Consentida catered a party for my neighborhood. The food was AMAZING and the service was OUTSTANDING!!!! We had delicious al pastor and beef quesadillas, I would highly recommend La Consentida!”

My daughter loved their crawfish fries, seafood boil was not to spicy just perfect (and I asked for extra spicy) their shrimp Alfredo bowl was amazing! “My family & I had bacon,egg, & chesse tacos, sausage & egg tacos, & carne casada with chesse tacos. Food was good. Tacos didn't have a lot of eggs & the tortillas were small. Also didn't realize their breakfast tacos went up. The menu I saw on here said 1.50 but they have updated their menu so I took a picture of the new menu & posted it. Customer service was good though the ladys that work the stand were nice.Note: Torillas are store bought.”
