“I had a lovely experience dining in by myself at this establishment. I had their “Feed Me” special, which is a 6 course hike: a volume heavy, rich, savory, journey. The hostess was very active throughout the night, saw her running food, bussing tables, she watered my glass, and got me fresh silverware on one of my courses. All front of house staff were kind, knowledgeable, engaging, and active, the chef also greeted, and engaged with guests as they arrived/left. Very pleasant dining experience, real professionals that hit the mark well. Good pacing on coursing, fresh everything always, good wine, great food, comfortable experience, I'd come back again while in town in a heartbeat. The only thing I'd say is that mushroom salad with the pomegranates at the start was killer. The tart when it shined through to ride along that fresh Parmesan funk was a real treat, I almost wish a similar tart or acidity came back with the broccolini/pork dish to help prepare for the rest of the battle! All-in-all though each dish was killer, hope I can visit again!“

“I have tried almost every Sushi spot in San Antonio and Shiro stands above and beyond everyplace I have been to. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.“

“La Canterra location. Gabriel was our server and was outstanding. His recommendations were perfect. He explained every dish he brought out. Ask for him. Being from Spain and cooking paella and making tapas, the food at Toro is authentic and wonderful. I have eaten at many “Spanish” restaurants thru out the US and this has been my favorite! “Visited for the first time today after being directed there for the “Field Notes” brand of pocket journals. I was able to get a few journals, enjoyed an iced great pumpkin latte, and bought a bag of coffee beans. Shout out to Alexis for answering all of my questions and making this a great experience. I’m excited to come back— I’ve lived in SA for 5 years and have been to plenty of local coffee shops: My experience today was the best so far. Thank you for making my day better!“

“We stopped in today and tried their famous 3.5-lb cinnamon roll, and it did not disappoint. This thing is absolutely massive, super fresh, and loaded with icing—definitely something you share unless you’re up for a serious challenge.
We paired it with their cucumber water, which was refreshing and a perfect balance to such a rich treat.

“Usually PF Changs is a 5, however not this time. The restaurant was extremely cold. The waitress was lovely but was too quick rather than give us a few minutes to peruse the cocktail and dinner menu. The new full dinners for $16.99 are an excellent value. Unfortunately our entree arrived before the starter. When we reminded the waitress about the starter, she apologized and quickly delivered it. By now, the spring roll was cold so it was disappointing. Food and cocktail flavors were all good. Bring a sweater.“

“I just knew I had to bring my party to Eddie V's for dinner. Sean delivered the warmest and absolutely outstanding dinner service for my friends and family. “ELISE CUISINE is the manifestation of owner Rocio’s ten-year dream, and her dedication and commitment to her dream is evident down to the smallest details. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“
