The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“

“It's a nice place, but if I drop into a neighborhood (or any) coffee shop on a Sat a.m. I expect a Sat a.m. "coffee atmosphere" - quiet, laid-back. Suddenly in comes a bunch of pre-teens, cackling and shouting. Too many parents make the mistake of assuming that we all want to see and hear their kids: teach them to recognize and respect quiet. Otherwise, as I said, a nice and convenient spot with a good selection for coffee and low-dB conversation.“

“This place is a tall-ceiling coffee shop vibe. It is in a business tower but it doesn’t feel that way at all. Somehow they’ve made it cozy and inviting inside a giant corporate tower. The coffee is strong, well-sourced, and delicious. The food is all good, especially the sandwiches. They will accommodate any special requests and make sure to go the extra mile to be there for the customer.

This place is not cheap, likely because they pay rent in one of the nicest buildings in the city, but they go the extra mile in quality and service, and for that they are worth every penny. Highly recommend this place for coffee, a quick snack or sandwich, and even some vintage finds in their little clothing shop in the back.

“My parents and I went for our 1st time yesterday, on my bday. It was pack and people were rushing in. I informed the lady I'll be ordering 4 plates. 3 meals 1 dessert. place my order, sat down waited an hour for food. finally arrived informed lady just missing 1 more plate... mine. she said ok and walked away. after waiting for another 30 min. no one ever came back. I asked about my plate cause I knew they were busy and didn't want to be impatient. when I asked cashier about my plate, turns out she never even charged my order. so they just looked at me like a deer in head lights and apologized they didn't know how to compensate. They were too busy to do my order so just compt my tip. i left hungry and bummed out so maybe it'll be to iron out unsatisfied customers after mishap so they're not leaving a Lil negative remarks.“

The Tres Leches latte was exactly what I like in iced coffee! The americano was a 4.5 according to my husband and we'll wait and see what my sister thinks about the Poppy's latte. The vanilla bean twist was delicious as well! Definitely coming back next time we're in the area!“

Wicked polite and as we were waiting, they kept up with wait times, alternative seating and the reality of sitting on the patio....TOO HOT for this northerner transplanted in Texas. Our waitress was super sweet and went out of her way when we asked if there was a way we could try some pastries. The 2 of us could not do a full tier platter because of the portion sizes, but golly!!!!!! Did they make our day with letting us have a few that are usually for afternoon tea exclusively. “This is my first time here I remember when they had a coffee truck and I got the graham which is an iced vanilla oat milk latte with pumpkin cinnamon cold and it’s super good. It has great balance of coffee and milk and I got the jalapeño cheddar kolache and it’s also very good and flavorful. My only complaint here is that I wasn’t greeted when I entered the store nor was I asked how can I help you? I just started ordering. Nobody asked me anything.
