“Our experience at the Stafford location has always been very pleasant. The servers have always been very attentive and their customer service is great. We sit in Domingo’s section often and his customer service has also echoed the other staff as exceptional.

We come fairly often and consider ourselves regulars, yet I’ve never written a review here before now shame on me I know. We come for their margaritas and fajitas mostly and it’s always fantastic. If you like great margs and fajitas I highly recommend this location. They have specials throughout the week and we like to come on Wednesdays which is fajita.“

“This place is like my home. I have been coming here practically since this location opened and I’m still here almost once a week. The food is always good and the top shelf margaritas are the best you will find anywhere. The staff loves to make their customers happy. Frank the manager/bartender is a friend and I know almost all of the staff and the owners too. It’s the best Mexican food and margaritas in the Houston area. I have brought many of my friends here over the years and they all loved it!“

“Alejandro was so sweet! We got the fajitas, table side guacamole and bacon wrapped shrimp! The steak fajita was SOOOOO good! Tender, juicy, and almost sweet flavored steak paired so well with the roasted tomatoes and grilled onions! The chicken fajita was tender and had the best lime flavor!

THEN THERE WAS DESSERT. OMG.
This was the best tres leches cake EVER 5 out of 5 people agreed. (The whole table lol)
And personally I LOVED the flan!!! It was smooth, sweet and decadent! <3

“I had a fantastic experience at this Mexican restaurant! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and a great overall vibe. Our server was incredibly attentive and took such good care of us throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. “I’ve never been there, but I remember that an idiot named Jason Vicknair talked crazy about this place. Something about his poor little starving wife not getting shredded cheese quickly enough during covid. That guy was a complete tool (probably still is), so I want to do my part to increase ratings. If I’m ever in the Dallas area, I promise to stop by. He had a phony complaint about it being his first date night in months, which was disproved quickly. People found his review history and it was littered with complaints. Basically the dude is a male Karen that deserves ridicule for the rest of his life for being a tool.“

“The food was very good. We drive about 45 minutes to find here. The shelf margarita was great! I had the shrimp,steak, and chicken fajita with salad- very enjoyable. Since I don't eat pork, I was extremely happy that the waitress was familiar with the menu items and could tell me food products with bacon/lard.“

“This Houston location is the best. We have eaten at Chuys in a few states and they were ok.
Houstons Chuys is the bomb. I had the fried chicken breast with hatch Chile - delicious.
My wife had enchiladas with beef with Chuys sauce. She said it was FIRE!
My kids loved there's too. But of course their chips and ranch jalapeno dip is second to none. Except maybe mone - lol.

“You have to try the tamales at Johnnys! I am a die hard tamale lover and the tamales were delicious. My recommendation would be the tamales (obviously), fish tacos, tres leches, churros, and chips & salsa! Our waiter was incredible! He was very welcoming, attentive, and polite. Service is extremely important and depending on your waiter and restaurant, it can be hit or miss. However, that was not the case during our visit. Hospitality was prioritized which was evident after meeting both manager and owner. Great experience!“

“Personally, I'm not a fan of Mexican restaurants in the U.S., due to changing the flavor profile of so many exquisite Mexican dishes and changing things around. My wife wanted to go here and gave it a shot. I will say, I was almost impressed, despite the atmosphere feeling too gloomy and a bit depressed. I was impressed that one of the chefs or head chef came out and provided us with a small sample of fajita tacos, which I will say, were superb in texture and flavor. Service was excellent. Salsa was almost good, wished it could be mlre spicier, but I understand why it isn't. I appreciated that it was not watery like many other so-called Mexican restaurants. Chips were okay, just needed a bit more salt, but what really disappointed me was the rice. Chef, you call that rice? It was definitely preheated rice from the day or days before. It was stale, not fresh and had no flavor. Rice is a highly delicate food after it is cooked. It tasted straight out from a can or bag. It seems like every Mexican restaurant does the same with rice, which is why I avoid such places.

Restrooms were clean. If a restroom is clean, it is safe to assume the rest of the location is too. Food was delicious, but do something about the lighting and rice.“

“Ordered a pastor quesadilla and it was great. The pastor was very flavorful and the quesadilla was LOADED with meat and cheese. Both salsas were packed with flavor and just a slight amount of kick. Service was quick and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend checking Texi Taco out. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“
