“Honestly I didnt stay long I had really been looking for a good dark bar to just sit and soak in the atmosphere. My dad was a bouncer at these type bars so this bar gave me so much so much nostalgia. The smell of cigarettes, the dark room regulars just chit chatting. They had a jukebox, pool and darts. It really gives you that old fashion bar feeling I've been missing. I had a few jack and cokes and the bartender was very quick and friendly. I didnt catch her name but she had long blonde hair in a ponytail. I did go in as soon as they opened so im sure it wouldn't be as quiet and calm in the evening but it was just what I needed to feel like I was just chilling and having a drink with my dad.“

“The Oar House in Rockwall was an amazing Valentine’s dinner experience. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely top-notch. The seabass was cooked perfectly — flavorful, tender, and one of the best I’ve had. My wife ordered the steak, and it was incredibly tender and cooked exactly right. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The service was flawless from start to finish. The manager, Will, did an outstanding job ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we had a great experience. His attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. Their food is so friggan good!! The staff is awesome too!! I have no idea what their drink specials are because I don’t drink, we get the food!! Their chicken fried steak& chicken dinners are so good! My husband loves their BLT which comes on Texas toast. I love their chicken Philly! Their tator tots are delicious and so is their home made mashed potatoes! We get our food to go but they seem to have ample seating.“

“Stopped into Brass Tap for a quick lunch and ended up pleasantly surprised. The Chicken Caesar Salad was legit, not one of those sad, thrown together afterthoughts, but actually fresh, well balanced, and worth ordering again. Big win there.

Also have to give them credit for having some non alcoholic options on the menu. That is awesome to see and honestly still way too rare. I would love to see them lean into that even more, especially with something on tap. Nothing against anyone enjoying a drink, but sober is cool too, and it is nice when a place makes that feel normal instead of an afterthought.

Service hit the sweet spot. Friendly, attentive, but not hovering over the table every two minutes asking if I am still chewing okay. Just enough presence to make you feel taken care of without feeling like you are being supervised. The bartenders deserve a shoutout too, they know what they are doing and keep things moving without missing a beat.

What really stood out though, I came back about a week later to see if it was just a one off good experience, and nope, same deal. Different waitress, same easygoing service, kitchen still on point, bartenders still crushing it. That kind of consistency is harder to find than it should be.

Overall, solid spot for lunch, solid vibe, and a place that clearly has its act together. If they expand those N/A options, especially on tap, I might start showing up a little more often than I planned… which my wallet may or may not appreciate.“

This is the best Friday night date: Excellent steak, great drink prices, and that dance floor is perfect for a show like CT Davis.“

“My local watering hole never disappoints. The staff is always on point with both drinks and food, and this visit was no different.

We tried the meat lovers pizza this time, and man, it hit the spot. It was seriously good. The cocktail waitresses are always attentive and make sure you have everything you need, and the bartenders knock it out of the park every time.

“I was there to watch the Nascar race. Everybody else was there to watch FIFA World Cup. They gave me a TV of my own to watch at the bar where I requested to sit. Waitress and manager couldn't of been more accommodating. I will definitely be going back for another race. I'm a Carson Hocevar (Chili's) fan so I gotta support my driver and his sponsor. The food was a large proportion and tasted incredible. I had a half rack of ribs with fries. Very reasonable priced too.“
