Leah’s professionalism was immediately apparent. She possessed an impressive in-depth knowledge of the menu, particularly the various meat options. “My wife and I were staying the night at The Domain, and knew that Haywire had recently opened, so we decided to book a table for the evening. On entry, it’s obvious there’s a heavy Western theme. There’s cow hide on the chairs, some of the servers were in cowboy hats and wranglers, longhorn’s hung on the wall…the whole nine. The unusual thing about the décor, is that there’s also shelves holding bits of old technology, books and toys. The external black brick and shaded yellow accent lights is a color theme I like a lot….looks very slick. The overall look is slick, with a casual yet stylistic atmosphere with nice mood lighting. Anyways, on to the food! We started with the Crispy Pork Belly Bites…they were good. The sweet honey glaze, pickled fresnos and charred mandarins give it a sweet, tasty and smoky flavor. For my main, I had the bone-in cowboy ribeye with charred broccolini. I asked for medium rare, but it came out more medium and I wasn’t that keen on the broccolini. My wife went with the petite filet and tallow fries….the fries were really nice. We used to cook our “chips” in beef dripping back in the day as a kid in England, which is essentially what beef tallow is. I finished off with the Whiskey Bread Pudding, which is made with crossiants and topped with caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. VERY NICE!!! Everything is sourced locally, too. Service was fast and friendly, so I can’t fault them there either. It’s not cheap, though. Price-wise, it’s between Paul Martin’s and Perry’s Steakhouse. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and will be back again.“

“So we went to Rodeo Goat for a few drinks before dinner. I asked our bartender, Anna, for an extra sweet bourbon Manhattan on the rocks. This is probably not a common order. She was gone for quite a while and I said to my husband, "She probably had to look up how to make it." Well, she did and it was outstanding. I wish more bartenders would do this!! I have been to numerous upscale restaurants in the area and, honestly, this is the best drink I have ever had. Anna was a delightful, professional bartender and a credit to Rodeo Goat. “I went here last Saturday, this my probably some of the best fajitas here in DFW. The agua Fresca was probably the best as well, and it wasn’t too sweet like most that you buy. I definitely will be coming back!!!! Definitely would recommend if you are looking for great Mexican/Tex-Mex in the DFW area.“

“I always get the same thing, beef fajitas. So I decided to try OG tacos this time. Crunchy with beef. All I could taste was black pepper. I don't know if that's how they normally are, or if they accidentally added way too much black pepper. But I couldn't eat that. Beans and rice were great, and filled me up. The guacamole appetizer was delicious, although a small portion for two people. Half the cup was lettuce bed. My wife's chicken quesadillas were good. Not the best ever, but tasty. The unsweet tea was delicious. And the service was great. I gave it just four stars for "atmosphere" because holy cow is it loud in there. My wife and I have to almost shout to hear each other. Not a huge deal if you are not looking for a quiet place. Just something to be aware of.

Reason for 4 starts is it would be nice if they had a few more Korean side dishes and our final order of prime beef was taking forever.
