“We came in as big group, with loud kids, food allergies and restrictions galore. They took great care of us with attention and kindness and prepared the food to perfection. We were ALL very happy with our very tasty food. All of the sauces were really very good as well.This restaurant deserves to be visited by anyone driving by or living in the area!Thank you!!Edited to add: I read the review below about their food being covered in butter. “It is a great treat to fall upon hidden treasures. Bayou Cafe in Vidor is worthy of you going out of your way to go for a meal. They have three menues; Regular, New Orleans, and Specials. I had New Orleans Shrimp and Grits and my wife chose Shrimp Gumbo with Potato Salad off the Regular Menu. We topped off that Outstanding with a seving of Mom's Banana Pudding. The outstanding meal was a superb mixture of spices and main ingredients served in a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is clean and nostalgic with posters of timeless actors and singers mixed with musical instruments coupled with signs and placards. The server, Arabella, asked if we had visited before and after our negative response explained the menues, ordering procedure, and took us to the bar forvexplaining our options. She was extremely effecient and friendly. Great find. Thanks to all.“
“Fantastic find! Who would imagine that this tiny seafood restaurant in Vidor Tx would be this good. Friendly efficient counter service. Quick and Delicious. Had six large perfectly grilled Sea scallops and six shrimp on a bed of stir fried rice for an extremely good price. Just off of Interstate 10 on Main Street exit. Highly recommend- five stars!“
“Everything was fine. It was crowded for a Sunday. The fried ribs were a little tougher than usual. The waitress was nice.Parking: Parking is very tight. Large long trucks make it difficult to pass through to park because they stick out too far.“

“I worked late on a business trip and decided to come here. The ambiance was great, I loved the restaurant decorations and vibes. I had a cocktail pineapple refresher which was kinda strong but tasted good. I had salmon Alexander which was a huge portion slightly too salty for me personally tho. But overall I had a great Louisiana style dinner.“

“Floyd's is always a great experience to gather with friends and family to enjoy great food and drinks. I've hosted many celebrations such as baby showers and birthday parties. My last visit was no different. I enjoyed a rib eye steak with a loaded bake potato and their dirty rice! I sipped on a their popular hurricane Floyd cocktail! Service was great! Our wait was only 5 mins. and our wait staff was attentive. I'll definitely will be going back!“

The shrimp were jumbo and the rice was a larger portion. I ordered from the location based on the reviews since I am not local to the area. Very pleased!!
