“My mom and I was getting birth certificates around the corner and my mom was craving Barbacoa so I googled the closest and this place popped up! I’m so glad we took the chance because let me tell you the food was so delicious! Definitely can taste the homemade cooking. Very authentic. I wish I took a photo but trust me when I say “heaven in your mouth.” Homemade corn and flour tortillas were severed. I will definitely come back and recommend to everyone in the Southtown/downtown area. Overall, great experience and wonderful family owned.“

“We found this place on Google and it was close to our hotel. We all loved it. Everything is made on site or grown locally. My hubby loves "meat porn" so this was his place. When you first walk in, they have their homemade meats hanging in a meat locker. I thought he was going to lose his mind! Pizza and dessert was beyond fantastic! It all is fresh AF. No joke. Even beer and wine is locally sourced. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE WHEN IN SAN ANTONIO.“

“If you’re looking for amazing carne guisada enchiladas, this is the spot. The meat was seasoned just right and so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Paired with the rich, flavorful sauce, these enchiladas were unforgettable. Hands down some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I love supporting small businesses so we will definitely be back.“

“Food is good, service are great, I normally bring my employees to get breakfast before go out the field to work, Last Monday we witness witch I believe is the manager, go off on the server, because he said instead been attentive to customers she should be cleaning, witch all of us disagree with that, for my experience., normally waitress get pay to attend customer, and on their down time clean and organize around, Also he should wait to not be any customers or bring the employee to office or said something on private, looks like he want to show he’s power been a manager or owner ( don’t know) Now my employees don’t want to come back there anymore.....“

Those new to San Antonio should visit this place for the food alone. They offer treats that are tasty enough to animate your taste buds.
But it would be worth stopping by La Superior just to meet the staff. They exude lots of personality and they’re so sweet you’ll want to take them home.
They contribute to a wonderful ambiance. It fosters a seemingly perpetual conversation in which everyone present is encouraged to participate.

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

“This restaurant would have got a four , maybe even a five star rating... but they let peddlers in to sell fruit cups and cakes.The real disappointment came when a gentleman came in belting out mariachi, music so loud , it was hard to hold a conversation. “Best food I've had in a long time. They use the real American cheese so its rich and creamy and not stringy. Definitely a must try. And prices are very reasonable. It was a bit warm in there though but I have no complaints. We will be making this a regular spot from now on. Oh ya, and our tacos were out within 5 minutes of putting in our order and they were very big and full.“
