“I have been looking for 2 years for a place that has enchiladas "as good" as my favorite place where we used to live. Well today I found it ! Polo's was delicious! I won't go anywhere else around here for good Tex-Mex ! Look forward to trying the fried cheesecake or ice cream one day.Service was great. People were friendly. The owner (cook) visited with us for a bit since it was mid afternoon. There were still a number of people there even though it was around 2:30 pm. He said the recipe hasn't changed since 1965 ! Everything is fresh. AND they have a nice outdoor patio ! BYOB !Highly recommend !!“
“Wow, why did no one tell me about this gem?! My wife and I went for lunch today, and it was OFF THE CHAIN! Blink, and you would miss it, but don't blink and don't sleep on this wonderful diner! Best Chicken Fried steak I have had in a long time (Mary would agree)! Fast, friendly service and big portions for the price (cheaper than most places, we both ordered the daily special). This is my new go-to for lunch, and their breakfast menu looks just as legit! Way to crush some good home cookin yall!“
“I could have stopped with the fried green tomatoes and the hand breaded onion rings... absolutely delicious. Then went on to have their ribeye steak, cooked exactly as ordered along with three generous sides. For dessert, homemade chocolate merengue pie. Took most of it home for another couple of meals. Our server, Crystal, was attentive and so very friendly as if I'd known her for years. Definitely will be back to try some if their other offerings.“
“Great experience every time we go here. We are greeted at the door and thanked as we leave. The wait staff is on point, professional and polite. The food is served quickly. Prices are getting a little high, but what’s not these days. Highly recommend.“
“Lunchtime. Waitress had a great attitude but seem a little stressed. She was only one we saw actually working tables . Foodstuffs were okay. I expected more spices. Service was okay but again, same waitress seemed a bit overloaded with the quantity of customers. When ready to leave, we had to go seek waitress to get ticket to pay out. All in all a decent experience but add more spices and possibly another wait staff person to help during lunch rush.“
“Incredible food, every time we go. You must try the tilapia, salmon and shrimp dishes. All well worth the price, as are the other menu options. Management and staff are very receptive and friendly. In 10 years we have never had a so-so meal - always great, even when taken to go. If this review allowed 10 stars, I'd still want to give Weatherford's Rio Mambo 15 in each category.“
