Chicken Shawarma - laffa, carraway cabbage, green tahini and fixins Favorite was the falafel - tahini, amba, green shug..... yum! Cocktails of course! Our waitress was Sophie she was very gracious and attentive. Definitely going back.“

“Despite the fact that this is one of the ONLY places to get food in Austin after midnight (post-Covid) it’s far from a last resort. The owner / chef Saaj is an Austin local that feeds his customers as true “neighbors” by sharing his native recipes with a unique home cook feel. The portions are massive for just under $15, and I dare you to only eat it once. It’s in the backyard of C-Boys - and Austin staple in its own right, so enjoy a Shiner Bock and some local blues while you eat.“

“Food was tasty, the guy who took our order was really polite, and the dining area is chill.

However there is a parking issue in this gas station and the storage business right next to it. I got a boot on my car just waiting 20 minutes for my food and it cost me $100 to get it off.

If you do decide to come here, I would avoid parking here if there is an event near the stadium because you will get a boot on your car as there was several other cars getting booted.

I’m not sure if the owner is aware but you guys could warn your customers somewhere that this is a possibility. I know it’s not your fault but it’s your customers being affected by this.“

“I visited Thursday night with my husband. I am a picky eater and also not a big food truck eater either. I was absolutely blown away by the flavor that hit my taste buds! The food is amazingggggg!!!! We ended up ordering many items to try and took home leftovers to enjoy later. The combination plate, lamb wrap, fries, cheese fries, and hummus were some of the items we sampled. No choice you make will be a regret. The cherry on top is the atmosphere of being outside with a light Austin breeze and the owner with his friendly, humorous personality making sure everyone is satisfied and having a great time with full stomachs. “Been coming here for YEARS now and this food truck has seen me through it all. Ali has a heart of gold, remembers his customers, and ALWAYS puts me in a good mood with his amazing cooking and attitude. Both of which has never once faltered all this time. Not to mention his prices are VERY reasonable, he's open late, and personally, it's an absolute pleasure supporting someone with this rare level of dedication towards their craft.

“It was really great place to visit the (thicket Park). It’s a family friendly location. I came with my wife and my son. He had lots of fun and we tried to eat at TX Shawarma. We tried the chicken, It was amazing and the kebab as well and my kid loved their fries. Would definitely recommend it and we are coming again soon.“

“I visited Chako for the first time on Sunday with some family and we all LOVED the food!! We were so excited to try the shawarmas and the food was better than expected! Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and food was very warm! The man serving us was so friendly and even with a language barrier between us he gave exceptional service.
