“The food was spectacular!! This was our first time visiting. When we walked in there was one party standing at what seemed like the front of a line and an employee handed them menus and then gave us a menu, then he disappeared. The party in front of us went to sit down and it was unclear what we were supposed to do next. Eventually we figured out we were supposed to move forward to order before sitting down. Most bakery items were sold out, we were there around 2p, so we ordered the tequila carolina french toast and ranchero eggs benedictine as it was the first time we were eating for the day. We paid and went to sit down. We wanted to try the horchata but it was empty so we stuck with tea. The food came out as it was ready so we didn’t get our food at the same time. There was no salt, pepper, or hot sauce on the table. We asked for hot sauce when the food came for the eggs with the french toast, but no one ever came back with any. There were salt and pepper packets on the coffee stand. The sauce on the ranchero eggs was flavorful and paired well with the pork and fresh bread. But the real winner of this meal was the french toast! The allow croissant used for the bread could’ve been eaten plain. I appreciated the syrup on the side as the dish was very sweet and we could co trim how much syrup we used. The eggs were cooked perfectly but had no seasoning whatsoever. The bacon was also cooked perfectly - slightly crispy, but cooked through. I would recommend the food here 100 times over, but based on my experience, you don’t go here for the service. But do go for the food.“
“The interior of the coffee shop is lovely. There are a lot of different pottery items on display for sale that are hand made by one of the baristas! It's a very nice touch that adds some personality to this coffee shop. I tried an iced Honey Yuzu tea and it was great; very refreshing for a hot day. There was plenty of seating available when I went, and there are even bar style seats as well. Highly recommend trying some iced tea or the pistachio latte!“
“Super cute pie shop, I stumbled upon going to brunch. Customer service was great. The pies are a great personal size, or you can share, lol. We got the 4 pack with Pecan, Banana Creme, Peanut Butter, and Chewy Chocolate for $22. All were good, but the peanut butter one was the favorite.“
“Having gluten and dairy allergies, finding food that is delicious can be difficult. Every single thing I’ve tried here was absolutely amazing!! I couldn’t believe it was all gluten free and vegan. I also really enjoyed the matcha latte. 10/10 would come back!Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free and vegan!“
“Have never had an issue until yesterday. My second time at this location. No one greeted upon entering the store. Then I was given wrong cookie, and topping was melted. I quickly told them I didn't order raspberry one but the oatmeal skillet. Then it seemed like the oatmeal was rushed. There was hardly any drizzle or crumbs. Cookie and mousse were delicious. ? Hopefully future experiences and purchases will be better“
“My wife & I went in today and ordered the smothered pork chops special and biscuits and gravy with sausage meals with 2 sweet teas. The service was very good and both meals were cooked from someone's Heart!!! We're definitely going back again! I'm glad we didn't see all of the dessert selections in the front of the store!!! Friendly warning!!!!“
“Went in for my first time today, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I got the Berlina Guava & Cream Cheese and the Novia. When handed to me the breads were still warm. Both were very good breads not too sweet and perfect with a glass of milk. I recommend getting the Berlina Guava & Cream Cheese was so so good and unique the cream cheese isn’t too sweet which is perfect and you can definitely taste the Guava in there, will be coming here again. :)))“
“The Keto pizza was wonderful. The crust was crisp and I have had the cauliflower crust at few other places, but the crust was nice and crisp!!! The wings were great and so was the Bloody Mary!!!We took home pumpkin pie cheesecake square that was keto friendly…. Operative word is WAS. It was so good that it was gone in 4 bites!!!We will be back soon!!!“
“Oh Yeah Cakes did an amazing job on the cakes for my son’s birthday party. Lori made it easy with the ordering by suggesting cake ideas after I told her the theme of the party. The cakes looked amazing and tasted so delicious that the guests went back for seconds and kept asking who made the cakes!!“
“I had flight delays and had missed the Saturday pick up time for my order. They are closed Sundays. I called Monday to see if there was a way to get the order of delicious cookies for the moms to be & was pleasantly surprised they offered to remake the order! They have gained a loyal customer for all our family events and I appreciate the help after a stressful day. Thank you Lilys Cookie team! Delicious cookies and exceptional customer service, no doubt you’ll be in business for years to come.“
“Can’t stop recommending this place! Amazing selection of top tier pastries, a good selection of savory & filling kolaches & tacos, and a wonderful & joyful staff.Truly a gem of downtown San Antonio. If you needed a sign to go try it out, THIS IS YOUR SIGN! (Personally the horchata donut SLAPSSS)“
“Got a coffee there the other day and it was very good and decently priced. Two guys there were very helpful but there was an Asian girl there who I can tell didn't want someone that looks like me on her establishment. Probably thought I was there to steal or cause trouble. I was questioning about the coffees guy in the front seemed new so she reluctantly had to chime in but the look of her face as she told me real quick if whether an expresso or cold brew was stronger said it all. Not welcome. I grabbed my coffee and immediately left.“
“Great food, good service. Owner is attentive and his love of the food really translates. A must try. Traditional Mexican sweet bread with a personal twist. Other food and drinks are very good too.Parking: Busy street, parking is at a premium, but you can park in the street very close by.“
“Brought my vision to life! Seriously I gave a vague drawing but explained what I was trying to achieve and they got it exactly. There are a lot of ‘creative bakers’ out there but when you need the BEST and total reliability you should use Betty Jane’s. Already ordered another cake before even walking out with this one if that tells you anything. And their shop is adorable and they do everything, not just bridal.“
“Absolutely amazing brunch experience! The staff were super friendly. Our host of the day Will takes the cake. Very friendly and professional. The manager Ruby is definitely the right person to be the face of the service team. The ambience, the music, the foodgasmic flavors were all super amazing! Will definitely be back here everytime I'm down in San Antonio!“
“Ok, would have given 5 stars, but kind of pricey for 1 sweet bread. Coffee I got was good & good price. The price for 1 is almost $2 each. Compared to other bakeries. Now I got a pan de huevo aka concha. IT WAS FRESH & THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD!! I love them, they're my favorite. Also, I got a marranito, not impressed. It wasn't my favorite.“
“We were looking for bakery to make our daughter’s sweet sixteen birthday cake and let me tell you we found that and more with Emily’s Cake House!! The cake turned out beautifully and tastes delicious!! We will making our family orders from this business from now on. Thank you so much!!“
“Update: Brandon reached out to me about my experience, he has literally gone above and beyond to make up for this issue. The cookies I received were in amazing shape, delicious. I was able to go into the store and saw how much effort, care the workers have for the cookies. They were respectful and so nice! This is the quality I have grown to expect from crumbl, the price is absolutely worth it.Last pic is the updated pic. They look so beautiful you don’t even want to eat them lol.—Not happy my 30 dollar cookies were ugly and all messed up upon delivery. Kinda of a joke that they don’t tell the delivery drivers to be careful with the expensive cookies. So lame. Save your money and buy them in person, they don’t tell the drivers to be careful.“
“I've been a regular at this fantastic Mexican restaurant for two years, and it never disappoints! ? The chilaquiles and quesabirrias are must-tries, bursting with authentic flavors that whisk you away to Mexico. ??Yes, there's a wait during peak hours, but that's expected at any popular spot. Trust me, the delicious food is well worth the wait! ?If you love Mexican cuisine, this place is a real gem. Highly recommend checking it out! ?“
“I will definitely go back for more! Two tacos for less than $4 Wow! I usually buy a bacon & egg taco & a bean & cheese taco for breakfast. These were delicious & the bean & cheese taco was a big fat taco. I’m glad to finally see that, because it’s probably one of the cheapest taco to make, but not all places make it this way. The flour tortillas are big n fluffy too! Gotta try more food here! Beautiful pan dulce in the case also. Lots of items to taste.“
“I called in and put an order in for 18 cupcakes about 5 days before I needed them. Ordering them was was beyond simple and my request came out exactly as described on the phone. The biggest bonus is that the cupcakes were amazing! Every guest at my fiancée's party was surprised at how great they were. I continued to receive compliments on them throughout the night.10/10! I will continue to support this veteran owned and operated business for any baking/party needs in the future. (I would share photos but all the cupcakes were eaten)“
“I enjoy coming here when I'm visiting San Antonio. Has a lot of the Filipino staples I miss PLUS some freshly made snacks (siumai, halo halo, Spanish bread, etc). It is a bit more expensive than what I'm used to but still not a bad price.“
“I had seen this place for over a year and never saw it open. I passed by on a Saturday a couple of months ago and saw it open and was excited to try it out. I have been back at least five times since then. They have the best sausage croissant sandwich I have ever had. The Kountry boy kolache is also very good. The food is always fresh and the bread is so soft. I also like the vanilla ice coffee. I am not a big donut fan, but the donuts are also good. Tia is so nice and friendly. The shop is a great addition to the neighborhood. I will be a lifelong customer.“
“I ordered custom cupcakes from this shop for my baby shower about a week in advanced and they came out so beautifully! I highly recommend this shop for your custom needs! I'll be ordering my son's first birthday cake from this shop next month :)“
“Always a favorite for any day of the week. The variety is great and allows you to select the food you’re in the mood for. Fresh, homemade food is exceptional. I love this place and recommend it to anyone who loves homemade meals. Their weekly meal for two never disappoints and is more than enough for two. I often pick up homemade breads and other great desserts from the bakery. Always worth the visit for great comfort food. An added bonus is that they will work with you and adjust ingredients to make your meal just right.Dietary restrictions: They will work with you to make sure your sensitivity to ingredients is met. They are accommodating in every way.“
“I’ve tried their chicken salad sandwich, cinnamon roll, flourless chocolate cupcake and lemon pistachio cake bar. Having a sweet tooth, the baked goods in particular stood out— all very tasty, and not overly sweet! I enjoyed the homey, charming ambience; the cashier was also very warm and friendly. I love that this is a family-owned business! I’ll return to try their breakfast foods. ?“
“Churros are quality. I tried 3 dipping sauce all of which were good. I wish they had a spicy chocolate dip though. Service for the most part was great. The only downsides were the cashier was soft spoken and hard to hear. The inside waiting was cramped once more people showed up. The outside seating was nice and a pick up window made it easy to get our order so we didn't have to go back inside.“
“La mejor oreja en San Antonio! We love coming to Bedoys for pan dulce. Our kiddos usually get whichever season cookie they have at the time and my husband and I get concha's, orejas, and donuts. This is a weekend spot for us and has become a place my kiddos ask to visit all of the time.“
“We’ve purchased cakes and cupcakes from Cosmic Cakery twice now. Both times, we have received outstanding service and amazing cakes that both look good and taste delicious! We highly recommend them and look forward to more amazing creations in the future!Kid-friendliness: My daughter requested a unicorn cake with glitter on top and filled with sunbutter icing. She was so thrilled with her cake!“
“My favorite place for comfort food. Tomato basil soup is a must have every week. I often stop in to pick up two. I’ve tried almost everything on their menu and am never disappointed whether it’s salads, soups, sandwiches, and desserts. The grownup grilled cheese and tomato soup is a perfect combo. I’ve switched or added meats and other ingredients. They will make your visit worthwhile and have you coming back on a regular basis.“
“This pretty little coffee house is more than what it looks like. Every breakfast item was amazing and the prices were just right. The only thing that would make it better would be if you could order at the table rather than the counter. Definitely recommend.“
“Fiesta Bakery is within a few minutes drive of one of the UNESCO world heritage San Antonio missions - Mission Conception. Tip: don’t judge the quality of the food inside by the appearance of the bakery on the outside (or inside for that matter). Excellent price-quality ratio and very friendly team working there! We ordered a selection of colorful polvorones (sugar cookies that are crunchy on the outside and softer on the inside), coconut macaroons (rich in flavor, perfectly moist & chewy) apple- and pumpkin-filled empanadas (recommend to eat when slightly warmed), conchas (often the most typical Mexican pastry that is basically a cookie baked on top of a bread roll that are colorful and sweet), cuernos (imagine the shape of a croissant with colorful sugar topping it) and a cream puff covered in powdered sugar. Everything we ordered was delicious! The cream puff and coconut macaroons were eaten upon exiting the bakery mainly so the cream / dairy fillings wouldn’t melt in the San Antonio heat (and because they looked and smelled so good). The cookies lasted a few days in an airtight container and were just a delicious and crunchy as the ones we ate the day we bought them. Whether near the start of your visit to the historic San Antonio missions or near the end, pay Fiesta Bakery a visit.“
“Cookies are absolutely amazing!! It's the only place I will buy cookies from otherwise I make them myself. My only negative comment is the price point. If they could bring the price to 3 or 350 for individuals It be the best overall experience! With that being said everyone needs to try these cookies at least once!! The chocolate fudge brownie is absolutely amazing it's the perfect brookie!“
“We recently learned about this coffee shop and love how it's on our route to/from home. All is fantastic; service, coffee, baked goods, and atmosphere. We enjoy each stop.Their beverages are unique in the type of ingredients used, different, and more natural. This makes the drinks taste amazing! Our favorite drinks are the iced matcha latte w/almond milk, vanilla cinnamon latte, and Kentucky smoke latte. They also offer baked goods and are a must-have! The cinnamon role looks like a, "nah." However, it is the best cinnamon role I've had. It's like a hybrid, croissant and role in one. The almond croissant is great too!Our next stop will include trying the tacos!“
“Loved this place. It is a must go when you're in San antonio. Came here for a conference and it was during Fiesta week. Everything looked amazing. The Monterrey special is 5*, the goat was delicious and I loved the rib part due to it being a little crispy with the fat. YummmmWe had 7 people and different meals so we got to try different meats. The michoacan was my other favorite. I love the fatty parts so it worked for us since others preferred the lean part. The meat fell apart.Literally everything was delicious. We went to the Fiesta afterwards and walked around for 30 minutes. I cant wait to come back next year with my family.“
“Walked into Delice looking for a sweet treat after a very late lunch. Nacho recommended the s’more and I’m so glad he did. I got to tell you it was the best s’more I’ve ever had in my life, but the best pastry treat I have ever experienced! The cookie that acted as the graham cracker was so perfectly textured not too hard not to soft, the marshmallow was perfect not too sweet and the chocolate was the perfect melt in your mouth the right kind of smooth texture chocolate that was the perfect amount of sweet for the entire s’more. I couldn’t take a bite without making all the “mmmmm” noises. It’s no wonder Nacho and his wife are champion chocolatiers, and bakers! definitely the number one spot in town and probably the nation.“
“staff were incredibly nice and the tea was incredibly well-brewed- honestly the best place i’ve ever gotten hot jasmine tea. the playlist was also such a W i didn’t need to put on headphones for a good study atmosphere. honestly super affordable, this is my first experience here but i’ll probably come back to study more.“
“This bakery, catering business does it all. Their cakes are not only beautiful in design, but taste amazing. The attention to details. Amy does a wonderful job being the amazing decorator and face of this small business. The meal prep meals are fast and easy to go! Delicious too! We had their Catered meals, we've done Christmas dinners, breakfast for meetings all of it delicious and done with care. Thank you“
“The best pastries in San Antonio! Soooo fresh and delicious. The blueberry kolaches, cinnamon rolls and banana muffins are our favorites but we’ve never had anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious.I wish I didn’t need to pre-order the sourdough because that is just an extra step that I rarely remember or want to do… but the sourdough is worth it if you’re a more organized person than me!And the staff is always sweet but sometimes a little too slow moving for my mornings when we are trying to run in and grab something and get on our way. But overall great all around if we aren’t in any hurry. I also wish they had oat milk for the coffee!“
“Whilst out wandering the neighborhood that this hidden gem is located in, I was trying to go to the San Antonio Museum of Art and found it to be closed on Monday. I was feeling hungry and in need of a good drink and some great food. I happened upon Commonwealth coffee house just by chance and decided to give it a try. The Cubano Sandwich is out of this world and the fresh squeezed lemonade coupled with a jigger of Aviation Gin hit the spot. Paired nicely together and found the place to be peaceful and quiet in an otherwise fast and bustling part of San Antonio. I would highly recommend stopping by for a coffee or lunch anytime you are in the area.“
“As an admin for a corporate office, I told Amanda I needed a no-fuss monthly delivery for what we call Cake Day (celebration of that month’s birthdays). She came through in a big way! We have four dozen bundtinis delivered without interruption and always with a smile! She is a delightful and conscientious person and clearly takes pride in the management of this bakery. Also, have I mentioned that the cake is delicious?! My team is thrilled every time. Highly recommend the food AND the service. Thank you, Amanda, for being awesome in a culture where awesome is rare!“
“Omg. So good. I eat meat and everything in between, and I loved it here. The person at the counter was super nice. We all got the same and the consensus was. WOW. I want more. Got the plain roll and cookie dough. Nothing plain about the taste. A must if you like that.“
“Wow,this bakery is the best in the Southside.Very well stocked with sweet Bread,Cookies, cupcakes, the little pig cookies.empanadas. and the best tasting DOUGHNUTS ever..You know Mexican sweet breads at it's best. When you go,load up on doughnuts, cause you will not eat just one. I'm going there right after I finish this review. See you there!!!!??“
“Absolutely love this cute little bakery!!!!This is the kind of vegan food that I love, completely indistinguishable from non vegan. Like you truly can't tell it's vegan, the texture of the pastry is so spot on!!!! Soft and crispy, so yummy!!!“
“(Translated by Google) The bread is excellent. The service is very respectful. Wide variety of sweet bread. It's worth going for a bagel.(Original)El pan esta excelente. El servicio es muy respetuoso. Amplia variedad de pan dulce. Vale la pena ir a comer un panecillo.“
“Great location, coffee, pastries, baristas, and kitchen staff. My most recent experience was weirdly not great. It was a Sunday afternoon and the farmers market was wrapping up, so there was a bit of a rush. It's understandable for things to take time and orders to get lost, so I waited 30 minutes after ordering my coffee to alert one of the managers. He looked at me and didn't say anything then, went to talk to someone in the kitchen about it. After about a minute with no further acknowledgement, I went back to my seat. 10 minutes after that, still no coffee. By then things had slowed down, so I went to the counter and the baristas there were extremely kind and helpful, putting in a new order. When the manager eventually brought out my coffee, not a word! No apology or acknowledgement of my hour-long wait, plus he brought it in a to-go cup, spilled all over the lid. It's like they took a manager from Denny's (no offense) and put them in the middle of a great cafe. I can understand that complications happen during service, but lack of communication is hard to overlook. Also, the WiFi there either doesn't work, or was down all Sunday afternoon (insult to injury - made my hour feel especially like lost time).“
“I absolutely LOVE this place. Authentic French food and pastries.I made it my goal to try something new every time I went—my favorites were the bread pudding, the Parisian flan (I thought I didn’t like flan!), the fresh breads, lemon tart, and croissants. You won’t go wrong with anything you pick.Sylvie and her husband always were so kind to me and helpful in improving my French—great people. I just moved away from San Antonio and will miss this place so so much, you need to try it!!“
“Great place to work. I work with them thru a temp agency called Traba. But they pay great and great hours too. I am planning on getting hired on soon but I'm trying to figure out how many hours I have to do or if I just quit Traba to do it. But Plant 1 and Plant 2 are both amazing. I work with both.“
“I finally escaped Crumbl and tried this cookie shop. I tried the pink sugar cookie and it was perfect. Reminded me of my grandma's cookie decorating parties and the big bowls of powdered sugared icing. The German chocolate was lovely and tasted great. Unlike crumbl they did the basic perfectly. Their chocolate chip cookies were so sweet and perfectly excuted. This shop is perfectly named and so deserving. Cookies are large and are priced a little higher but make sense.“
“So glad we finally made it here. The food was superb and the service was great. We all ordered different entrees. Smothered pork chops, fried chops, baked chicken and meatloaf were all very good. The sides were great too. We will definitely be coming back.“
