“I cannot thank your staff enough! I regrettably placed an order for an early Thanksgiving meal for 25 people at another establishment, but it never arrived as scheduled yesterday. I called your store and your staff was eager to help! Within 45 minutes we had food for 25 people, including an array of delicious sides. “They had candy bars on”sale” but they were stale…when I tried to return some later that day at the one on I 35 between Dallas and Waxahachie I had a horrible experience with that MOD there. I had a receipt but because I was a few miles down the road they wouldn’t return it, and not only that but he went on and on about how it would hurt his “record” if he returned anything, even though I had a receipt from that same day 20 miles away. He wouldn’t even return an $.80 purchase. If I just asked for 1 refund. It was a ridiculous experience. I will never go back to that store on I 35. Also that store continued to sell the stale products on his shelf, even though they were told they were stale as well. finally they didn’t ask for my number so I could get points and they clicked the button so quickly for me, I couldn’t put my phone number in so I had to return everything I bought after that and I had to re-purchase it again to get the points. So, I was there at 2 stores to buy a few things for over an hour and the worst customer service at the one on the way to Waxahachie“

“Service was as I expected. They offered numerous Food options. They accommodated separate checks for our group which consisted of two couples and one single. The Crussaunt appetiser was VERY FRESH and I highly recommend it. Kudos to our waiter for allowing me to replace French fries with a more healthy salad.“

“It is better to go before 4 pm on a Sat. Service was not up to par. Asked for Ice water, got ice in a cup and then was asked if we want water in it. 🤦♀️ then the fried chicken was not completely cooked and two of the servings were cried bones and no meat. Out of 4 pieces only one had meat. Asked for something else and the manager was not pleasant at all.“

“AUTHENTIC SOUTHERN SOUL AND WORLD-CLASS SERVICE.
This place is the real deal. We arrived on a crazy busy night (school spirit night), but the owners' wife and staff managed the floor like absolute pros—attentive, friendly, and always checking on us. Maybe the best service environment I’ve ever experienced.
The food is just as good:
Appetizers (Crawfish Dip/Meat Pie): Absolutely inhaled them. The crawfish dip is rich and soupy (in the best way) with buttered toast for dipping. Set the tone immediately.
The Gumbo: Deeply flavorful, smoky broth with perfectly non-slimy okra.
Chicken Fried Chicken: Flaky, tender, sweet and peppery crust. Whipped potatoes and creamy comfort gravy. Pure, honest soul food.
The Cornbread: Dense and sweet—a must-order.
To top it off, the owner brought us free samples of their cornbread waffles (crispy outside, gooey inside!). This isn't just a meal; it's a generous, authentic experience run by people who genuinely care. Skip the chains and come here. Perfection.“
