“My sincere thanks and compliments to Cafe Rio. We had a luncheon planned for a wedding at Highland Gardens just down the street. Unfortunately the caterer failed to show, leaving us with 70 plus hungry guests. We immediately sent people out to seek help. Cafe Rio immediately got to work and in just 30 minutes had put together numerous trays of high quality food to serve our guests. “I came in and got some dinner. When my order was called, it was swiped by another person who I assume mistook it as theirs. The employee was incredibly kind when I told them the situation and gave us free chips, two medium drinks, and a bag of cinnamon twists. The drive thru line was incredibly long, and multiple customers in the store, yet the employees were very quick with remaking our food. This Taco Bell is great, I appreciate everyone who works here!“

“We have traveled quite a bit in Mexico over the years. Our favorite places to eat are small, home-owned, “hole in the wall” type eateries. Always good food, warm pleasant people and just a comfortable place to be. We found that at El Gallo Giro. No corporate rubber chicken sandwiches here. Drop by for a fine meal and a touch of Mexico. I don’t think you will be disappointed…“

“Very good. My husband and I wanted to try something new and randomly saw this place. The cheese steak burrito was very good. My husband put the boom boom sauce on it but regretted his decision because for him it was too spicy, so just a heads up, it is spicy. That was his only complaint. Other than that, it was very good food!“

“Have wanted to try this place for years. Finally did and it did not disappoint. Excellent carne asada burrito smothered with sauce and cheese. Perfect amount to split with another person. Chips were top notch and the salsa and the perfect amount of heat.“

My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!“

“When we first came to Utah in Aug 2020 we asked around and most people said there were not many good Mexican restaurants on SLC. Being from Southern California we know good Mexican food given the large Latino population. When we got a recommendation for El Gallo Loco, in Sandy of all places, we were skeptical but decided to go check it out. The words AMAZING do not even describe it. Alberto is super nice, friendly, and really helped us to pick dishes we thoroughly enjoyed. He is super humble about the place, and really took the time to find out what types of food and flavors we liked, and made recommendations which did not disappoint on any level. Their Tortilla soup is hands down the BEST we have ever had, and we’ve had a lot. Their chicken - WOW. Marinated and tender in any dish - tacos, burritos, fajitas - even just the chicken. They have 3 authentic salsas - the green sauce on burritos is so good we thought about it all week !! Chips are perfect - not greasy at all. Good range of drinks, beer, wine , margaritas and even horchata - if that’s not authentic I don’t know what is. This is one of our GO TO places for sure.“

“If you don’t understand the vibe and style of food motel west is going for then you’ll totally miss the concept and think it’s “overpriced” or “slow”. Everything menu item is genuinely thought through and meticulously made to give you way more than the generic Mexican food restaurant where you go and spend $1 on a street taco. I eat at flemmings and Ruth’s Chris at least once a month and I can honestly say comparing price/quality/flavor/presentation to those two, motel west comes out on top. I Absolutley would and will pay the money time and time again to eat here. The pricing is Absolutley reasonable for the quality of food they are going for. 🙏🏽“

Your amazing employees were doing their best. Everyone was stressed and some customers took it out on the very people trying to serve them.
