“Very poor service, brought food Luke warm but not one single utensil for any of us, sat there waiting for nearly 15 minutes food getting colder, told them after 5 minutes that none of us had anything to eat with, still took them 10 more minutes, then they brought flimsy plastic spoons and forks NO knives, had to ask them for knives, 5 more minutes and they brought 1 knife for a table of 10 people, do much more negative happened don’t even want to take the time to say everything… used to be a family favorite… No e of us will EVER go back… So Sad, Orem store is absolutely horrible…“

“I’m a regular here. I stop by at least once a month. They are usually quick and accurate. The dining area is usually clean. Most of the time the food is prepared well, but sometimes there’s an obvious lack of care (broken taco shells, messy, stale chalupa shells). But overall it’s about what you’d expect for fast food. The prices do feel quite high for the quality, but the speed and convenience is great.“

“The atmosphere was great lively and cheerful with grupo 5 playing on one of the tvs, another had a nature chanel, and the other TV had sports that I could see.

The service was exceptional, attentive and friendly. Our food and drinks arrived at the table quickly and everything was provided at the perfect time.

The food serving was large and so freaking delicious! I'm Peruvian and I love feeling close to home when I'm in these restaurants. I felt like I was home, the music the service and food brought me back.

We got a pitcher of passion fruit juice, papa a la huancaina, lomo saltado con arroz chaufa, pollo la brasa y canchita. The huancaina sauce was a little different from what I'm used to but nonetheless delicious. I'm sure being in Utah it may be harder to get the all Peruvian spices needed. Everything tastes amazing this is a really great Peruvian restaurant and if you are craving or want to try something new this is the place to go.“

My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!“

“We ate here with three generations and everyone was happy. Skip the rice and get two orders of beans (or just one order, but you have to get the beans). No matter what, order something with cheese (quesadilla or Gringas tacos) because they use the authentic Mexican cheese that’s hard to find in the States. I felt the proportions-to-price ratio was awesome (the burritos are huge) and we left with leftovers. I LOVE that they keep all the condiments separate so if you like soapy cilantro you can add that or skip it like a civilized person. Extra points for having cruditos! We were too full to order dessert but the flan looked good.“

“This is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Utah. I just don’t understand how anyone can rate it less than 5 stars… maybe they had covid and couldn’t taste anything? The flavor profiles are absolute art. It’s pricy but I’ve never gotten an impression that they compromise on quality. Tortillas are meaty, meat portions are plentiful, everything is cooked to perfection.

“This is one of our favorite places. The best fish tacos I've ever had in Utah and I don't normally eat a lot of fish or fish tacos. There is no strong fishy flavor to them and the batter they use is spiced and delicious. They also have some of the best chicken tacos. They cook over charcoal so it has a delicious flavor. Also be sure to try their Tampi sushi roll. It's delicious!“
