I do wish they'd have an option on door dash to hold jalapenos and add other ingredients, like king crab and fish eggs. people would pay extra. I would! I highly recommend this place but be careful, if you have them, you will get addicted! best ever!“

“Service was fantastic. The food was beautifuly presented. The selection of rolls is great. The flavor of the rolls I ordered; I can only describe as a beautiful sensation of flavors and textures. I'm talking about, take my breath away type of experience. Best sushi I've had in my lifetime. Highly recommend eating here!“

“Love the food here and the servers are great but after being here for an hour, the manager actually came to our table and told us to leave. Said the wait list is long and we can go to the lobby to socialize. By the way the lobby was nearly empty. We asked to talk to the manager, he said he was it and when we asked if he was serious, he chuckled and said yes. We even left an extra $20 for the server because we knew we’d be here longer. We are a paying table. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant - this is not how you treat your customers. Not a good practice to get people to come back. SO DISAPPOINTING!!!“

“My wife and I recently moved to the Midvale area. We are now frequent customers of Great India. Tonight we ordered their Great India Special Appetizer, the Garlic Cheese Naan, and an order of Chicken Vindaloo (spicy). The flavor is incredible and the food so fresh. We talked with the owners (yep - locally owned, a big plus) and learned that they prepare the Naan when it's ordered, not heated up from earlier in the day. Its obvious! We couldn't recommend a restaurant more highly. Really one our favorites.“

“I went here on a whim thinking to get some Indian spices in their grocery and ended up in the buffet. It’s a buffet on one side of the building and grocery store across. The people were very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. They have a decent selection to choose from of various entree’s, but I really liked the chicken korma and goat korma. I have not tried their ala carte menu yet so this only pertains to their buffet. I’d say it’s definite return visit for me and scratched that itch and craving for Indian cuisine. Buffets are only Saturday and Sunday and weekdays are Ala carte dine in. I ended up paying right under $25 for the buffet and a tip so the pricing is extremely favorable for a quick bite for a single person.“

“We had an unusual birthday cake request for my 7 year olds birthday today. Being new to the area, I wandered in seeing the store to ask about ordering a cake. I’ve never heard of them or experienced them before. They did an amazing job!! This was better than I even expected. The staff was SO kind. “Echoing what others have said: the food is consistently really good for the price. Unlike other discount sushi places, Yi Sushi’s rolls have a variety of ingredients, flavors, and textures instead of just tempura shrimp and imitation crab on repeat.
But their customer service is pretty bad. The food is good enough to put up with it, but beware of the following:
- They are soooo slow. It took them over 30 minutes to take our order…on a Tuesday night. Don’t make plans after dinner, you will be late to them
- They say they take reservations but don’t trust them to honor it. I knew they had one table that could sit 12-14 people and I called right when they opened in the morning to reserve for a group that large for a birthday dinner. They told me I had a reservation but when we arrived, another group was sitting at the one large group table. I told the hostess that I had made a reservation and she went over to the other group and talked to them, but then she came back and split my group up into two tables without an explanation, apology, or peace offering.“

“The 5 stars are not for the restaurant but for one of their employees, MARY.
She was so sweet and helpful when the other crew members were just slacking around. Numerous other employees just walked away instead of helping her, which was infuriating to see. MARY helped with our order from beginning to end.

This place needs more people like Mary.
