“Blacksmith Ice Cream Co. is our go-to ice-cream place in SLC. They have a large upstairs loft that can fit larger groups. Fun and friendly atmosphere! They have flavors of the month if you want to try something new. You can get to-go pints/quarts for ice cream at home or an event. They have ice-cream that accommodate some dietary preferences which is always a win.

“I’m always one to recommend Nelson’s but just went there tonight and had a very negative experience... Me and my mom were up for a treat and we decided to go to Neilsen, knowing they close at 10pm we hurried over and got into the drive through at 9:57 we were second in line. Just a few minutes later we pulled up to the window just as the clock stuck 10 and the young lady at the window said “what can I get for you?” and we said “do you have chocolate” she said “yes” we proceeded and asked for a chocolate cone and a vanilla concrete. The young lady them said “All we have is frozen quarts and pints, sorry were closed” (despite having asked us what we wanted, oh and the OPEN sign was still on) we were a bit confused because we’ve been waiting since before they closed. I tried to explain that we were waiting in line before you closed. Let’s just say they could care less that I didn’t get my frozen custard. All in all not very happy about what happed hope this situation can get fixed by simply blocking the drive through and take care of the existing costumers ect.“

“This is a Salt Lake City classic. The original over-the-top shakes in Utah does not disappoint. With about 30 flavors that you can combine to your hearts' content everyone will be happy with the options. They have also added a child's size shake that was just the right size. Their battered fries are also really tasty.
It was originally a drive-through with walk-up windows and outdoor seating, but there are also some tables inside too. It's a great spot.“

“Was looking for FroYo late on a Saturday. Googled it and chose the top rated location. It was about a 17 minute drive from my place, a couple cities away, but totally worth it! They have a good variety of yogurt flavors and lots of toppings and sauces. They also have two non-dairy yogurt options! The owner (I believe she was the owner) was super friendly and sweet. We had a fun conversation about our dogs. Will be back again.“

“I've been here several times, always a treat, and have never left a review. Located in great part of town, just love 9th and 9th. The gelateria itself has just an assortment of arts and ceramics and decorations. The seating area is super cozy. Some tables and chairs and some couches - that could swallow you whole if you let them they are so squishy. The gelato is great, very creamy. I think the best gelato in Salt Lake. The serving size is great too, they usually pack it in and over the top of the cup. Thanks to the owners and workers of this shop!“

“This is my favorite Handel’s location! It’s perfect if you have kids—you can bring them on summer nights or in the fall to hang out on the little patio area in front and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s also great for a casual date night. The staff is friendly, though sometimes a little slow and the girls at the counter can seem a bit confused at times. Still, it’s a great spot to enjoy some ice cream!“

“This place is so fun. You choose your type of frozen yogurt and then add your toppings and pay based off weight. Kids love it. Remember to buy a water when you check out because for whatever reason froyo makes ya THIRSTY.

We got the salted maple and it was out of this world! They have a smaller, but more intentional menu, and there’s tons of fun toppings to add on. They also have “Composed Cones” that are a combination of flavors and toppings!

They switch out their flavors each month, so we can’t wait to go back and try everything else that they create!“

“I live in Colorado and never heard of Alpha Coffee. I visited Salt Lake City, and friend recommended we meet at the downtown location. I ordered an "Aztec" and it was great. Something different, new and tasty for me. I liked the drink, the vibe and the servers ... the whole experience was great! I look forward to my next visit to SLC. I'll stop at Alpha again - to try the Poly! :)“

They have the best Italian ice and love making it gelato.
They have many different flavors of custards shakes and more!
My favorite is the cotton candy.
The only downfall is they don't have many locations so it's quite far from us. But we still are willing to take the trip because my kids absolutely love it 💖“
