“my family and I really enjoy Mr. Shabu. We have mainly been for the sushi, and have really liked it. The Playboy Roll, which is sort of my go to roll, I'm torn if they are number 1 or 2 when it comes to the place I like it the most. but we have enjoyed many other rolls their. but we also appreciate their wall of ramen which is great for my daughter who is trying to like more sushi, but isn't all the way there yet. it make it easy for her to still get a full dinner, but also try some sushi as well. “First time here and will absolutely be coming back! We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. We ended up waiting around 35-40 minutes. They don’t have traditional handheld menus, they have QR codes at the table you’re seated at. The menu has lots of options to pick from and we loved everything we tried. We sat in front of the kitchen and were able to watch the kitchen staff hand make everything. The food tasted fresh so flavorful!“

“We did the Omakase dinner and it was one of the coolest dinners I’ve ever done. The food was great. The ambiance and company was amazing! I made friends and Corgi out waiter was amazing. He explained every dish then took time to hear our feedback after each one. If you’re coming here I highly recommend the hand rolls. I’ve never had these at any other Japanese restaurant in Utah and it definitely sets this place apart! We will be back! Shoutout again to Corgi!!!“

“We went to the Sushi Japanese Restaurant with a group of 12 people for a bachelorette party and we had the most incredible experience! Our server, Matt, was very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. He really made our experience special and took great care of us. The jalapeño poppers were exceptional!! The Phoenix roll experience was unforgettable and the Sapporo beer was deliciously crisp. I highly recommend this restaurant!“

“We wanted sushi and heard this was the best place. It's a fun location with a cool vibe. We had three rolls, Black Magic Woman, Strawberry Fields and Ramon. I liked them best in that order. Ramon I would not order again, it was just kind of bland, but the other two rolls were great!“

“It is spacious and ADA friendly. It smells so delicious upon entry. Hugh (sp?) the host was very kind and hospitable. And patient (it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted). Foo (sp?) was an awesome chef! He gave us the tricks but also shared dialogue with us. Very humble and personable, and the food….my husband is picky and he agreed that it was exceptional. Perfectly cooked NY Strip steak, shrimp, yakitori, salad, soup, and salmon (we are from Alaska and they did this little piece of salmon justice ❤️). And Sam the other host was also very hospitable and checked on us. They don’t skip a beat when they saw us roll in with our wheelchair. And other employees were checking on us too. Love this place!!

“I ordered through DoorDash for the first time and I liked it. I especially enjoyed their Yang Chow fried rice, one of my fave comfort foods. It was so good- huge serving too! I also liked the xiao long bao dumpling and the takoyaki. Too bad they forgot to send the Tiramisu. Anyway, it was a great first experience with their dishes so I’m looking forward to trying some more in the future. Keep it up! ??“

“I had never been to ramen legend before and it didn’t disappoint. My cousin got a spicy curry ramen. I usually get a pork broth ramen but decided to try something new. I got a chicken broth ramen and it had fried chicken in it. The fried chicken was great and crispy. My 1 year old daughter also loved it! I would definitely order it again!“

“Food at this location has been great every time I go here. I gave 4 stars on service because the cashier didn't give me my receipt and stared at me and my baby as soon as I walked in the building. The gentleman making the food was kind and happy and efficient and my food was cooked properly. “Really nice looking place! Great name and menu too. The service was a little slow for afternoon lunch and the front desk ladies were being lazy and chatting loudly the whole time we were there.
