“The food at Black Sheep is so fresh and the portions are large! I got the GOAT burger with the goat cheese on the side and a side of sweet potato wedges and it was all so delicious! I was able to take half the burger home. It’s a nice quiet spot to eat and watch the going’s on around Center Street. Our server was kind and had helpful recommendations.“

“We ate the most creative and divine food last night at Communal. The portions are big and they are for sharing. The new summer salad with fresh peaches and corn was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The blend of flavors was absolutely amazing. Had I known how delicious it was beforehand I would have just ordered that for dinner. My husband and I shared the Greek chicken, crispy fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots with pistachios. Wonderful homemade rolls were served while we awaited our dinner. “I have always experienced amazing customer service at this restaurant but this location in particular is just excellent. I ordered a soup to go & made a unique customization. When I arrived to pick it up I was greeted by a very nice employee named Marcos. He explained to me that they don’t carry that customization anymore & asked me how I would like to move forward with my order. “We wanted to wait until you got here so that you can get what you want.” & then he walked me though the other options, made suggestions to get me a similar result, gave me a sample of what I was getting to make sure I liked it, & top of that he gave me a free drink for the inconvenience. Biked down to the spot (they have bike racks - so already a plus in my book). The decor and ambiance seem like a great spot to grab a burger with some family and/or friends.

Walk in, music selection isn’t bad and look at the wall screen menu. Riley was at the cashier and hooked it up nicely. My order: pastrami and Swiss burger with regular fries.

Took a minute for the food to come out BUT definitely worth the wait. Definitely paid a bit more than the usual chain burger spot but THIS…was art. When I went to pick up the burger, the pillowy softness of the bun immediately grabbed my attention. The burger was structured in a way where nothing slipped out while I was eating it…NOTHING SLIPPED OUT! The fries…OMGOSH the fries…crispy and crunchy but with that pleasant chewiness and perfectly seasoned. I will say now that I know about this place just down the road from me…I will have to practice restraint.
