But the highlight was the grande oat milk cappuccino — honestly, the best I’ve ever had anywhere! Perfectly balanced, smooth, and just delicious.

“Cute Starbucks set in historic building. Love that they kept this the way it was and didn't modernize it too much. Nice place to sit and get a coffee. Drinks were good. One barista was a little confused and it took him several tries to correctly input our order, but the other one got the drinks made right the first time and both were friendly.“

My wife and I have lived in the area for over 14 years, and in that time we’ve visited more Starbucks locations than I can count. But nothing—and I mean nothing—comes close to the experience we get at our local Starbucks here in Alexandria. This is the one we choose to visit every single morning, 6–7 days per week, without fail. The only days we miss are when we’re traveling for work or pleasure. That’s how special this place is.

From the moment you walk in, the staff sets the tone with genuine warmth, friendliness, and a welcoming energy that’s rare to find anywhere—let alone at a busy coffee shop. The vibe is consistent, the music is fun, and the entire team brings an authenticity that just makes your day start better.

A huge shoutout to Tracy, Karen, Cindy, Miki, Rodas, Teddy, and truly everyone else on the team. I know I’m forgetting a few names, but that’s only because every single person here is fantastic. They treat regulars like family, they greet everyone with a smile, and their customer service is consistently above and beyond what you see at most Starbucks locations.

It’s the kind of store where the staff not only remembers your order—they remember you. They make the morning feel lighter, brighter, and just a little more human. After more than a decade in the neighborhood, I can confidently say this Starbucks stands out as the one that gets it right.

To the whole team: thank you for being so down to earth, so kind, and so effortlessly excellent. You’ve become a part of our morning routine—and honestly, a part of our community.

“So it is 2:43 PM on November 21st 2024 I ordered a Vente iced caramel macchiato when I asked for a refill I was told I couldn’t get one on iced caramel macchiato when the thing says you get a free refill but the young lady the perky slightly chunky one said I couldn’t, but the thing says on the advertisement you can get a refill on any drink hot or cold and since I got a iced caramel macchiato, she told me I couldn’t. She didn’t want to scan the app. She didn’t wanna do nothing the one time that I wanna do it, I can’t because somebody doesn’t wanna make me one and I Paid for my first drink, but they wouldn’t allow me to get the second one. She lied and I know it. I am a bit disgruntled by that experience“

“This is one of the closer Starbucks to me, and I love coming here because the staff are so friendly all the time :) Look at this cute doodle one of them drew in my coffee today! Totally makes my drink so much more special 🥹

There's also a nice little playground for youngins next to it. Pretty solid Starbucks.“

“Due to some poor planning (by me), I wound having more than an hour to kill in Alexandria before a work meeting. I made my way to this Starbucks, and it turned out to be perfect: 1) It was quiet and conducive to getting some work done while waiting 2) The staff was extraordinarily friendly, greeting customers like old friends (which some of them might have been) and making a loiterer like myself feel welcome 3) There was no door code for the bathroom and no wifi password – so I didn’t feel like I was under suspicion. I felt sort of human. Which is a welcome feeling these days.

“My bf and I always come here for my coffee. I’m not the most sociable person with strangers but they’re super sweet to us. they also complimented my outfits a couple of times and always make my lattes rlly tasty. :) they do an amazing job and try their best.“

“I had a wonderful experience at the Starbucks inside Safeway recently, thanks to the fantastic customer service provided by Caroline. She was incredibly kind and super helpful at the desk, making sure my order was just right and even offering great suggestions. Caroline truly goes above and beyond for her customers, and her warm smile made my day. Plus, I couldn’t help but notice the adorable cat pins on her hat—they added such a fun and personal touch! “We had breakfast at this location. It was a short walk from our hotel so it was convenient. We also selected it because it had outdoor seating. We ordered 2 bacon sausage egg wraps, 1 spinach feta wrap, a Mocha cookie crumble, 1 latte, and the frozen pineapple strawberry lemonade. The drinks were fine. The bacon sausage wraps were not good. My husband ate his, but I fed mine to animals passing by. The service was great, and the atmosphere was as well. I'd visit this location again, but I'll stick to the cheese Danish or something else.“

“Peaceful, cozy, quiet, perfect spot to grab coffee/latte/tea or whatever ever captures your attention from the menu . I be sure to grab my morning booster from here before heading to work .

“I go here all the time whenever I want Starbucks and the people here are nice and efficient. They always get my order right and sometimes write nice notes or simple greetings on my orders. I don't recommend the drive thru as it can get really busy at times.

“Waiting a really long time for a spinach wrap, only to find out that they had placed it down at the other end of the counter. No big deal except they had been handing them out at the end I was on. They seem to remember all the loyal customers, made it seem more like family. Besides that sanfu everything was really good.“

“I called a few mins ago to ask a question for heath reason and they were polite and informative. i liked that they were pretty fast and knew what they were talking about. wished they it was a bit slower because of the clarity barrier from the phone.“

“I hope this is the right location. I came in the morning of 7/10/25 in a rainbow cardigan and too distracted to even know whom to speak to to order. I did manage to order and looked so sad that a beautiful soul that works there offered me a hug. I appreciate that so, so much. I am fine, thank you, but rather overwhelmed with life at that moment. “The staff here are really nice and clearly try to get things out quickly without messing up. I understand that it must be ridiculously busy with that wall coming down as well as that amazon store opening and despite that I constantly receive speedy service. Especially on the weekends when I normally come! It’s always a lovely experience and definitely my favorite starbucks in the area.“
