“We were worried getting out of a late meeting and we didn’t think we would be able to find a really good meal with it being after 9pm. We were wrong! We followed our GPS to this restaurant and the place was so welcoming. They let us sample before we decided on our meals and everything we tried was delicious and most importantly FRESH! To get a meal THIS good at this time of night blew us away! We will be coming back and will be using their catering option as well for a summer birthday party! Please try and return for another ! Visit the Annnandale location! And once you’re done with the delicious dinner, please save room for the crepes they have here!“

“A home-y “hole in the wall” place with good food and sweets. Don’t let this place’s looks throw you off. The AYCE/buffet is $13.99 and you serve yourself then pay after. The honesty system is strong! During our meal, the workers let us try different sauces and explained the options.

I don’t know the names very well but I had: rice with chickpeas, the “stewed” chicken, tandoori chicken, chickpeas, and eggplant. The eggplant and stewed chicken were my favorite! The meats are all SOOOO tender. We also ordered the Naan and it was the freshest we’ve had!

We ended with dessert from the buffet. It was Gulab and soooo good! It was sweet and perfect to end the meal.

Afterwards, one of the workers was so kind as to explain what each dessert was and the flavors. He let us try one of them for free. And then when I ended up picking 2 other desserts, he gifted them because we were new to the place!!!

“Absolutely delicious food -- had the Chicken over Rice Bowl with everything on it -- didn't know what I was getting into, but it was phenomenal. I stopped by randomly after driving by and seeing bright lights in an empty parking lot at 8/9PM on a Wednesday night. Only thing I didn't like -- absolutely BLARING loud music (drake) that I could barely hear the guy taking the order and he could barely hear me either. It was obstructive. “This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

Steven was friendly and welcoming, taking time to walk us through the menu and explain the specialties. The chicken sliders and the fries were delicious. Generous portions and great value.

We also loved the atmosphere especially the local murals featuring Leesburg Pike, which gave it a fun community vibe. Everything felt clean, lively, and well put together.
