“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“Stopped by on a whim. Wanted to watch the football games. The food was amazing, a hybrid of korean/American bar food. The service was on point, Brandon and Samy took care of of me like I was one of the family. Everyone playing pool was soo friendly and there was so many tvs playing the games. Ill definitely be back just for the hospitality and food.“

“This is the perfect spot for comforting, homey Korean food. Their menu has all the classics to fill your craving — we wanted to order one of everything! Food was delicious. Recommend the boiled pork belly and kimbap. We got to enjoy our meal out on the porch.“

“You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

However, service was honestly a miss — while our waiter was friendly, he was handling too many tables to be able to check in with us for additional orders, to take away empty plates, and to get us the check. “This has become a nee favorite for us. Just recently discovered when we were looking for Detroit pizza in the area. Wish it was a little closer to our place to be within delivery range, but it’s so good we make the trip to go get it. If you haven’t been before, just know that there is no dine in, just carry out or delivery. Staff is friendly and customer oriented too. This is our nee favorite for pizza.“

“I started ordering from SB Hans every other day for myself and/or coworkers about 6 months ago as they've quickly become our favorite, and they have yet to disappoint me. They provide quality food, efficient packaging and excellent customer service. The employees recognize my name at this point and greet me with such gratitude and warmth it almost makes me shy. “Pho Anh Duong is a personal favorite of ours. The dining area is fresh, clean, cheerful and relaxed. We have been very happy with the food but the one item that makes me go out of my way to come here is the Banh Xeoh, the Vietnamese crepe (pictured). Its hard to describe because it's like a crepe only in its shape, but it is an unique and very flavorful experience. (Wikipedia will tell you it is a type of traditional Vietnamese street food). Many other places dont have it on the menu and of those that do, Pho Ahm Duong is the best I've had - which given how spoiled for excellent Vietnamese food northern Virginia is, is saying something. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying it!“

“There are so many pho restaurants in NOVA, but Pho Hai Duong has quickly become my favorite. I order their combination pho with extra hoisin and jalapeños at least once a week, and with their early opening hours I can even get pho for breakfast! I love the quality of their meat, the flavor of their broth, and the consistency of the meal each time I order. I definitely recommend this restaurant and feel spoiled to be able to eat there so regularly. 💯“

This almost brought me to tears - the ambiance, the food, the experience was wonderfully surreal. Everything was excellent, but by far the grilled mackerel is the King of entree's!!!! Hallelujah!! Beer was good too.

The chick pea flour used in the pakora was flavored perfectly, though I wish it had a tad more spice to it. The other items I tried were great! “This was my first time at Sorak Garden. My mom picked it out. I ordered the Kimchi Jigae, my son ordered the japchae, and my mom ordered the Dolsot Bibim bap, We shared the fried mandu (dumplings). All the food, even the side dishes (banchan) were delicious. It tasted like my Mom's home cooking. The flavors were authentically Korean. It's sad that I had to leave MD to find a really great Korean restaurant, but I'm glad my mom took me here. The service was wonderful as well. The food didn't take long to come out, and they checked on us which I really appreciated. I believe the owner even came out to talk with us. It was a really great experience. I hope more people will come here to eat. I didn't take photos this time. But I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I had one order of grilled spicy pork and regular grilled pork each. It was one of the best Korean grilled pork dishes in DMV. It’s even comparable to restaurants in Korea where people line up! Pork is soft and perfectly seasoned.

A must try, huge portion for each order. The side dishes were not salty and awesome too. Most importantly, the servers were super nice and courteous. Will be back many times!“
