“The owners were very nice. I had a discrepancy in that I didn’t know how many catfish came with the catfish dinner. The owners were so nice that they gave me extra because it was my first time and because it was a misunderstanding that I had of the menu. The customer service was superb. The sides were awesome. I got mac & cheese and yams. They were really good. Also, the fish was fried very well. Will definitely come again and recommend to friends. Also, they have really really good smelling oils by the way that they sell.“

“I thoroughly research restaurants before I go... let's start there.

I was immediately greeted when I walked in. Even with me not realizing I had got there before closing they treated me like the first customer of the day.

I didn't take any photos because they really do care about the quality and presentation of their food. Just look at the other photos taken by others it's always delivered like that I'de imagine from my experience.

Lastly the food was so good I mean... the best I have had in a long time. I barely left anything on my plate.

Bonus round: I requested mac and cheese and they would not serve it to me because it did not come out the way they wanted it to. ( Also it was near closing time so they were out of a few sides) That meant a lot to me. Blessing to this amazing spot and I hope others enjoy what I got to experience and taste.“

Honestly, I would have rated everything 5/5 if it weren’t for the buttery taste in the chicken. I wish the chef offered an option to choose between oil or butter for the chicken marinade. The flavor was a bit too heavy for me and my husband. That said, I think it’s an acquired taste, so everyone should try it for themselves.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at The Hitching Post DC. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, mac & cheese, collard greens. The lamb chops are in my top 2 of the best I've ever tasted. I don't normally order mac & cheese when I go out to a restaurant, but this order was perfect as well. The collard greens could use a little vinegar, however, they were still delicious. I will definitely dine there in the near future. The lemon cake had was flavorful, moist and delicious, too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This was a fabulous find. Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. We also enjoyed their cajun pasta to round out the meal. We had courteous service from staff that were friendly, responsive and informative and efficient and fun. Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.“

“I love this place. I tried the oxtail mac & cheese.
Everything was cooked to perfection as well as the Oreo waffles and their grits and lamb chops.
Their brunch experience is very nice and there's parking in the area. I highly recommend you try out their brunch. They also have a cool mimosa tower. I couldn't pick a favorite food option!
