Now this is the way a lunch sandwich should be- clearly REAL turkey meat, fresh lightly toasted multigrain bread, green (not white/yellow) lettuce and (in my favorite case) real cranberry spread. So good and reasonably-priced; I could eat lunch here many days/week if I were in the area more frequently.“

“I got the Turkey Special on Rye and it was just… okay? Reading the other reviews makes me wish I had checked them out for recommendations before placing my order, but I had high hopes based on the review average and pricing and was just a bit disappointed.

The shop itself was quite dull in atmosphere, and while I don’t expect every staff member to act like they work for disney, I did feel like I was inconveniencing them just by being there. I don’t know; I’ve lived in lots of places with local delis, and this one just didn’t hit the mark. I’d be willing to come back and try a more highly-recommended choice though!“

“First off, the staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful! They’re patient and always ready with great suggestions. If you can’t decide, you can even sample the chicken salads. They also checked in to make sure the food was to your enjoyment. The environment is upbeat and spotless — even the bathrooms are clean!

Now, on to the food! Everything is delicious 😋. The daily soups are savory and warm you right to the core. I had the Classic Carol on toasted wheat, and it did not disappoint! The prices are fair for the amount and quality of food you get. The food walls served very quickly, less than 5 minutes from ordering to get to your table! Highly recommend!

“Holy Moly, what an awesome sandwich! I had the italiano, the focaccia was soft, airy and flavorful. The sandwich was a perfect balance of salt, fat, acid, heat. Salt and fat from the meat, acid from the vinaigrette and heat but not too hot from the hot pepper.

“I went into McAlester’s deli and I believe the cashier name was Iyana and she was so patient and welcoming! She was the best with assisting, helping and even suggesting things. She got me to buy a cookie and i didn’t even come there for a cookie lol. This is the type of service that makes you want to come back time after time. I want her to be my cashier every time!“

“A friend and I enjoyed a quick lunch here. I got the pork bibimbap bowl which came with steamed rice, lettuce, radish, carrots, green pepper, red cabbage, cucumber kimchi and a fried egg. “New favorite sandwich! The Philly Special comes loaded with shaved ribeye, cherry pepper mayo, applewood smoked bacon, Cooper Sharp cheese, lettuce, tomato, and super thin red onion. Basically, it’s what would happen if a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT had a baby.

The flavors work well together. The ribeye is tender, the bacon adds a little smokiness, and that cherry pepper mayo gives just the right amount of heat without being too spicy. It’s messy in the best way, the kind of sandwich you need both hands (and a few napkins) for.

For $17 it’s packed to the brim and could easily be two meals. Totally worth it if you’re craving something indulgent. Grazie Grazie nailed this one.“

“This place has never disappointed me over 3-4 visits at this specific location over 3 years. I’ve tried the one at I think Wheaton or something and Baltimore near Johns Hopkins and this place is always at least a 4/5 and the other locations really paled in comparison.

Comforting to see that a popular train station has reliable fast food. Fries are my favorite kind, crispy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside. Gourmet fries are also delish. Cheesesteaks (as someone who’s never been to Philly yet) seem pretty good at the price point too.“

You are greeted by a sweet lady you pay for the food you go ahead and sit down at the table and when you open up the food you get to see eggs scrambled with cheese the correct way, The cheese is melted on top of the eggs just what it supposed to look like Not Cheese scrambled with the eggs Like other places. The home fries are seasoned and prepared with love. They are the best tasting out of all the other places I have visited like Denny's, IHOP, Brookland Grill.

“I visited this place awhile ago and there is something very special about this place. i had catfish with fries and it was very fresh and not greasy at all. I had a brief conversation with owner and i was told they used very high level oil to fry the food. They definitely care about the quality of the food more than anything. I will definitely visit this place again.“
