“Hello, I just went through the drive-through to get sweet tea for my wife and two-year-old son. As I pulled into the parking lot, the woman at the podium handing out receipts gave me a dirty look, possibly because of my loud exhaust. I proceeded to the line to order my beverage, and while I waited, she handed receipts to the two cars in front of me but stared at me and my car with the same look. She didn’t offer me a receipt, which my wife needs to scan for points on an app that helps us financially. I had to ask for one when I got to the window to pick up my drink. I noticed this number on the receipt, which belongs to the operator, Jason Umberger. I believe the employee may need some coaching on maintaining professionalism and not letting personal judgments affect her behavior at work. As a manager for a company in Virginia that sponsors VCU, the Flying Squirrels, and many others, I understand the importance of professional conduct in the workplace. This was 8/22/23 @ 6:19PM.“

“Absolutely phenomenal experience at CHIC’N CRAVE in Petersburg! I placed a large order just 30 minutes before closing—four chicken sandwiches, a 20-piece chicken tender meal, and their amazing honey biscuits—and everything was fresh, hot, and made to order. That kind of care and quality, especially so close to closing time, really impressed me. The food? Top-tier. The chicken sandwiches were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the tenders were juicy with a golden crunch. Also as for the staff, this is the only place I know that can move the number of people in and out as cood as Chick Fil A! The staff here is amazingly efficient and friendly.“

“Went through the Drv thru line after 5pm . The line wasn't bad. I placed my order for the #1 Chicken sandwich combo plus a brownie. The line moved well until I got to the window. Several times I was asked my name and people behind me got their orders. Finally a new server asked what I ordered and at first he wasn't sure of my name. Then he brought me a bag for BRAD. Correct order but my name is LARRY. I expect better from Chick-fil-A, the food was good when I finally got it.“

“Took the dog to the pump road dog park today. When leaving I decided to go to the Arby's there in short pump to grab lunch. Pulling up to the drive through I asked "do you guys still have the BLT" knowing it was a seasonal thing. The reply came "It's not on the menu anymore but we can sure still make you one. “I am a DoorDash driver, and I’ve been to this location frequently. Every single time, it is spotless, everyone is so kind, and they are quick to bring out the food. When I was there today, there was an ENTIRE group of people with one singular order (I’d say around 35 people? All on one ticket.) and I had 2 DoorDash orders. Let me tell you, I have never seen ANY restaurant, regardless of if it was fast food or not, bring out such quality food in such a timely fashion. Not to mention they were so patient with the entire group, and me! They were so nice, and such troopers. Good job today, guys!!“

“When I moved to Richmond from Charlottesville, I was SO HAPPY to discover a Sticks in Willow Lawn! I loved Sticks in Charlottesville and the one in Willow Lawn is equally excellent. Best. Hummus. EVER“

“What a gem of a place! The food was lovingly prepared and served--the best of home cooking, like you were lucky to be invited to a family get together. There was a surprise complementary chicken soup, which was quite gelatinous and flavor packed. We chose potato bolani and the manti to start, and then chicken shawarma and the chicken thigh kebabs. A portion of potato bolani and manti would be plenty for two, but highly recommend order more to try (and pick things that will warm up well as leftovers!). Manti were tangy and addicting, and I loved the legume topping. Make sure to get chickpeas as a side for your meal--the texture will make you swear off canned chickpeas forever. Oh, and the flatbread for the kebabs! I'm familiar with the bread from Persian (Iranian) restaurants, and the cultural overlap is evident. Fabulously chewy but soft dough. Plastic bowls and paper plates add to the lunch counter charm. Staff couldn't be kinder and were very hospitable. Free tea by the register, even!“

“This location just renovated, food and service were good. The restroom was clean and the restaurant itself was nearly spotless. I liked the fact that employees wear gloves, yet, I wish they were wearing masks. Lastly it was cold in there. I understand that it was warm that day, however, it was cooler outside by then. “We visit this location weekly, but today I felt I needed to write a review. We usually always have great service, and food, however today was the exception.
When we arrived, it was fairly busy, but we expect that each time we go. The food is great, and our community supports this location. We ordered our usual, 2- 3 finger combos, and a 4 piece box. Got it home and to our surprise, one of the drinks, the Sprite, wasn’t Sprite at all. Apparently it had run out, and nobody changed it. So we had a cup of what tastes like nasty alka seltzer. When we opened our food, the fries were cold, which was odd considering the amount of cars in the drive through. And the bread was only toasted on one side.
A complete let down today. Sacrificing quality bc of quantity of customers is not the best decision. Our community loves this location, and would hate to see it demise bc of short cuts…. Please Kane’s managers, teach consistent quality above all !!!“

The menu is a la cart, yet, one can get as many toppings as they want for little to no charge. I did a curbside pickup order today for the first time today and it was also the first time I had ever used Google pay. The experience was smooth. One suggestion I would make would be to double up on the number of parking spots for curbside pickup. The fries were nice and warm! 😀“
