“Hello, I just went through the drive-through to get sweet tea for my wife and two-year-old son. As I pulled into the parking lot, the woman at the podium handing out receipts gave me a dirty look, possibly because of my loud exhaust. I proceeded to the line to order my beverage, and while I waited, she handed receipts to the two cars in front of me but stared at me and my car with the same look. She didn’t offer me a receipt, which my wife needs to scan for points on an app that helps us financially. I had to ask for one when I got to the window to pick up my drink. I noticed this number on the receipt, which belongs to the operator, Jason Umberger. I believe the employee may need some coaching on maintaining professionalism and not letting personal judgments affect her behavior at work. As a manager for a company in Virginia that sponsors VCU, the Flying Squirrels, and many others, I understand the importance of professional conduct in the workplace. This was 8/22/23 @ 6:19PM.“

“Absolutely phenomenal experience at CHIC’N CRAVE in Petersburg! I placed a large order just 30 minutes before closing—four chicken sandwiches, a 20-piece chicken tender meal, and their amazing honey biscuits—and everything was fresh, hot, and made to order. That kind of care and quality, especially so close to closing time, really impressed me. The food? Top-tier. The chicken sandwiches were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the tenders were juicy with a golden crunch. But the honey biscuits stole the show—soft, buttery, and just the right touch of sweetness. What really stood out, though, was the service. “My doordash driver was pretty late delivering this to me, but I still got my combo platter piping hot. Got a rather hefty chicken & gyro platter with some pita bread, and it was delicious. The meats and the basmati rice were seasoned, and the cubed cucumbers were a nice crunchy contrast. It's a great spot in the city, and the price isn't bad either. An additional big plus for this joint is that it's open pretty late, and the food is exactly what you need to avoid or cure potential hangovers.“

“I recently located to the Richmond Virginia area from Maryland. Having lived in Baltimore county for over thirty year's I experienced the pleasure of having the ability to obtain my favorite protein (fried chicken) at various locations throughout the Baltimore area. Once I moved to Chester Va all of this changed. Since being in the Richmond Virginia area; I have Googled fried chicken restaurants and numerous restaurants from the list Google provided, from Church's Fried Chicken ( which until they changed their recipe was a childhood favorite) to various mom & pop establishments and none of them had the southern comfort appeal of the fried chicken I remembered from Sunday dinner; that is until I found Lee's Famous. I entered with no preconceived thoughts other than I hope to enjoy the chicken. I approached the counter and reviewed the menu and placed my order for a two piece dark meal (two thighs) with double mashed potatoes with a sweet tea to eat there. My meal was prepared with virtually no wait time and my number was called. I received my order and after obtaining my hot sauce and salt and pepper, I sat down for the moment of truth. I wanted to experience this chicken in it's natural state from the fryer to the plate without anything added; so I picked up a chicken thighs and took a bite. The first thing I noticed is, the coating has a beautiful brown color and is flaky and when you bite into it has a crunch that once your teeth touch the meat, OMG ( oh my gosh) the juices just flow forth from the chicken. Once I put the Texas Pete hot on it, well it was game over. The mashed potatoes are just your run of the mill, but their gravy is in my humble opinion so good that I wish it was available on the retail market. You could use this gravy on turkey and stuffing, smothered pork chops I mean for me the list is endless. The only item I didn't enjoy was the biscuit. The biscuit leaves a lot to be desired. It's hard not fluffy and soft as a biscuit in my opinion should be; I would like to see the biscuit replaced with a soft roll of some type and then the meal would be spot on. However; inspite of the biscuit, Lee's Famous is hands down my go to spot for fried chicken. It's worth the thirty mile round trip. So do yourself a favor and check them out, you will not be disappointed.“

“Took the dog to the pump road dog park today. When leaving I decided to go to the Arby's there in short pump to grab lunch. Pulling up to the drive through I asked "do you guys still have the BLT" knowing it was a seasonal thing. The reply came "It's not on the menu anymore but we can sure still make you one. “I am a DoorDash driver, and I’ve been to this location frequently. Every single time, it is spotless, everyone is so kind, and they are quick to bring out the food. When I was there today, there was an ENTIRE group of people with one singular order (I’d say around 35 people? All on one ticket.) and I had 2 DoorDash orders. Let me tell you, I have never seen ANY restaurant, regardless of if it was fast food or not, bring out such quality food in such a timely fashion. Not to mention they were so patient with the entire group, and me! They were so nice, and such troopers. Good job today, guys!!“

“This location just renovated, food and service were good. The restroom was clean and the restaurant itself was nearly spotless. I liked the fact that employees wear gloves, yet, I wish they were wearing masks. Lastly it was cold in there. I understand that it was warm that day, however, it was cooler outside by then. “I had a great experience at Five Guys in Richmond, VA. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Our order was taken quickly and the service was fast. The food came out fresh and exactly as ordered. The burgers were delicious and the fries were hot and flavorful. Even though it was busy, the team worked efficiently and kept everything moving smoothly. The dining area and tables were kept clean throughout our visit. “Yum. Raising Cane's does everything right - simplicity, speed, chicken, and toast. Despite being right by the Diamond this is our go-to Cane's, it's always pretty fast and the quality is excellent. Game days can get a little slower but not by much. Just beware - turning into the drive through lanes is harrowing since it's literally RIGHT AWAY after turning into the parking lot, so some due caution is necessary to make sure you don't end up t-boned by a car coming from Toast or rear-ended by a car also turning in.“

“We visit this location weekly, but today I felt I needed to write a review. We usually always have great service, and food, however today was the exception.
When we arrived, it was fairly busy, but we expect that each time we go. The food is great, and our community supports this location. We ordered our usual, 2- 3 finger combos, and a 4 piece box. Got it home and to our surprise, one of the drinks, the Sprite, wasn’t Sprite at all. Apparently it had run out, and nobody changed it. So we had a cup of what tastes like nasty alka seltzer. When we opened our food, the fries were cold, which was odd considering the amount of cars in the drive through. And the bread was only toasted on one side.
A complete let down today. Sacrificing quality bc of quantity of customers is not the best decision. Our community loves this location, and would hate to see it demise bc of short cuts…. Please Kane’s managers, teach consistent quality above all !!!“

“Had called the store to place an order for a birthday cake for a surprise dinner next door to them and spoke with Princy. I ended up placing an online order with her on the phone for a pick up time hours later. She called me to make sure payment went through because she didn’t see the order shortly after hanging up. Went ahead and made the cake for me regardless of them having the order and she said she was positive the order would show up at the 5:00 pick up time. Princy really went above and beyond to make sure I was good to go! Everyone in the store was happy and was great when I got to the store to pick up cake.“

So we went to our local one to be treated horrible. So we reached out to Dairy Queen on Charter Colony to be told they had the image in stock and were sorry how the other store treated us. On the day we picked it up I was beyond impressed! It was exactly the way he wanted and so yummy! Definitely will only be using this Dairy Queen in the future! “I work at a nearby building and come here for breakfast/lunch many times a week (not the healthiest I know I’m working on meal prepping okay lol) and they’re always kind and courteous and I never really have issues. Today I placed a pick up order for my breakfast and someone apparently just took it before I got in. Even though I came after breakfast had ended they did their very best to make sure I got the meal I ordered anyway and took the time to mend the situation even in a clearly very busy time. “You get a a large quantity of fries, even in a small size... come hungry! I’m not a burger lover , tend to order the hot dog. The menu is a la cart, yet, one can get as many toppings as they want for little to no charge. I did a curbside pickup order today for the first time today and it was also the first time I had ever used Google pay. The experience was smooth. One suggestion I would make would be to double up on the number of parking spots for curbside pickup. The fries were nice and warm! 😀“
