50 Best Ice Cream Shops near Bon Air

“My scoops of mango and lime were delicious. Many different flavors - exotic as you'd expect from a Mexican confectioners - so you can try something new with each visit and never have the same thing twice. I need to come back soon, because there is a bewildering selection of special concoctions, too!“

“Prices were reasonable for the portion you get.“

“Fantastic ice cream shop with some of the best I’ve had! All the ice cream flavors (there are a LOT) are homemade right in the shop. Super friendly staff too!“

“Wonderful, dense, New England style ice cream. I’ve yet to try a flavor that was not absolutely wonderful. Inventive flavors. You can’t go wrong with anything these guys put out. Also very friendly staff!“

“Love this place! Delicious gelato and other treats! Friendly staff and a very cool atmosphere. Always excited for our weekly visit!😁“

“Delicious ice Cream and cones!“

“Ice cream was so creamy. It was probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had.“

“Truly the #Just Ask. You won’t regret the decision.“

“All I can say is "Yummy"!!!! Staff was very friendly. It was neat to see the ice cream being rolled“

“Love the blue cow. Today I had chocolate chip cookie dough. So disappointed, no cookie dough or chips. Just vanilla ice cream. I told the server and she said I wasn’t the only one to complain about this.“

“Yum! The Rocket is a must.“

“This Deluca Gelato provided the Gelato and Sorbet for our daughter's wedding on May 20th at Jolene winery..The choices were so great and the texture of the Gelato was incredibly smooth and silky. They were the perfect desserts for a perfect spring day wedding. Everyone was so excited to see that little Gelato mobile cart parked outside the dining hall. The guests enjoyed the treat very well and we are very Thankful for their service in this event. We highly recommend this place for your needs. You won't be disappointed.“

“The best ice cream I have had in a long time.“

“I’ve visited this Crumbl location multiple times, and every visit has been fantastic. The staff is always friendly, the store is clean, and the cookies are consistently fresh, warm, and delicious. I love trying the new flavors each week, and they never disappoint. It’s clear the team here takes pride in their work because my orders are always accurate, and service is quick even when the store is busy. This has become my go-to spot for a sweet treat, and I recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect cookie. Keep up the great work!“

“Great service, always a friendly greeting and a sincer "thank you!" And the donuts are incredible!!!“

“YUMMMMMMMY! Oh my gosh, do not sleep on this place! My daughter and I got a corn dog, cheese curds, grilled cheese and mozzarella sticks....holy moly those cheese curds are unbelievably delicious!! where have they been all my life?? They have a garlic essence and I am now 100% addicted to them. The grilled cheese was perfectly crisp with a great cheese pull. The corn dog was good and the mozzarella sticks were perfectly crunchy and gooey in the middle. Those cheese curd though.....they will be in my dreams!“

“Best place to get a sweet treat“

“Great for the kids and the ice cream is really good“

“Super friendly and fast service!! Our first visit and staff was very helpful!“

“Last Saturday morning, we had an ordering issue error which was caused by our teen. I spoke to the manager (if I remember correctly, her name was Faith) and she could not have been any nicer or more professional in straightening out our problem. Crumbl is lucky to have such a pleasant person working for them, and taking the time to help me out....
And the cookies are delicious as well (especially the raspberry one!} :0)“

“Went in for 2 specific ice cream flavors which were not in the cooler, but had the nicest person named Bejan helping us who said they both were in the back. He very kindly went and got them both. He made our little family VERY happy tonight. Excellent customer service!!!!“

“lovely atmosphere and delicious ice cream.“

“Sweet Tooth was a huge hit at my son's wedding reception this past Saturday! Nikki (the owner) was wonderful working with during the booking process, and Maurice was friendly and personable with our guests during the event. The truck arrived on time, and everyone raved about how creamy and delicious the ice cream was. I tried the non-dairy mango and pineapple flavors out of curiosity, not dietary restrictions, and both were fantastic! I highly recommend Sweet Tooth for a fun addition to events. I can't wait to find a reason in the Fall for booking them just to taste the funnel cakes they offer. YUM!“

“Yum! The Rocket is a must.“

“Dalia's is our neighborhood bakery and ice cream store. Everything is made on site. Lovely welcoming and clean store. Everything is delicious!“

“Truly the #Just Ask. You won’t regret the decision.“

“Cute place, unique flavors, exceptional service. The ice creams are a perfect balance of light and rich, not too cloyingly sweet or excessively heavy. We like the size options of mini or single for folks like us who prefer limited portions. They have pint sizes too for to go.“

“10/10 experience. Had gone to crispy cone… but they cut off the line… and turned out to be way better than we could have expected. The staff was extremely welcoming & friendly. Ice cream was one of the best I’ve had in a long time… tastes like grandma made it. Highly recommend coming here.“

“Cookie Chris is way better than Crumbl or Insomnia cookies. We’ve been coming here for years and they have been consistently amazing! The kids love to celebrate their wins by getting a giant cookie from Cookie Chris.

Chris is extremely nice, as well as the staff. Chris was happy to come from behind the counter to take a picture with my daughter. The staff is always patient with us as we try to decide which fun flavor to try (they change every week and have the biggest variety). A lady was taking pictures one time for the store, and then came over to talk to my kids. My daughter was so impressed that she told me when she grows up she wanted to be just like that lady.

Between the cookies and friendly staff, this place is the best.“

“Very sweet and helpful staff! The cafe’s lighting is wonky but the place is neat and clean.
The boba was definitely one of the best I’ve purchased, no exaggeration. I also got the rainbow cake. Speaking as a cake addict, the texture was soft and just sweet enough. The frosting was a bit hard though and a bit too sweet. The sprinkles on it added the best crunch as well.
There was barely 2 minutes of wait time. I was in and I was out.
Definitely an underrated cafe in the area. Absolute cinema🙌 Prepare for a usual customer🙏🙏“

“I love the non dairy options. The customer service is usually awful but the good ice cream cancels it out for me each time. 🤣 They need training, they treat you as if you ordering bothers them. No smiles no greeting just tilted heads and attitude. One lady was so dismissive to us and had the nerve to make us wait while she trained two girls on milkshakes. We were like hello and she literally ignored my husband. 🤭 5 stars to the non dairy ice cream though.“

“The smell of this place is intoxicating and mesmerizing. The pan dulce is always fresh and the price for the pan is amazing for what you're getting. My family and I love the conchas that they have and the helados in their other section are delicious. Easily the best panaderia that my friends and family have ever been to. If I lived closer, I would probably go to this place every week.“

“I had them do 24 cupcakes for my Mom’s 75th birthday and they not only looked amazing, they tasted amazing! I got so many compliments on how good they were and I definitely pointed them to Smallcakes!“

“Favorite place to get ice cream because VEGAN SOFT SERVE!! They have awesome seasonal items that change regularly. My personal favorite is National Watermelon Day. Always delicious and hits the spot. The parking lot is small but there’s always at least one spot. Make sure you go early when they have the limited items because they will run out!“

“the best icecream around! I am from Wisconsin and every time we are in Virginia Beach or Richmond we visit!“

“I just discovered The Treat Shop at the front of Woodlake. The plain glazed donut was delish! Customer service was also fantastic. We will definitely be going back. Next time we might try the milkshakes.“

“I’m a bit disappointed! I came to get ice cream and funnel cake. The kitchen was already closed, well before the listed closing time and the cost of the ice cream for a single scoop was shocking. I know y’all have good food but I will be reconsidering coming back. 🥺“

“Had called the store to place an order for a birthday cake for a surprise dinner next door to them and spoke with Princy. I ended up placing an online order with her on the phone for a pick up time hours later. She called me to make sure payment went through because she didn’t see the order shortly after hanging up. Went ahead and made the cake for me regardless of them having the order and she said she was positive the order would show up at the 5:00 pick up time. Princy really went above and beyond to make sure I was good to go! Everyone in the store was happy and was great when I got to the store to pick up cake.“

“A great staple to Carytown! We recently walked around after dinner and were drawn in by the delectable smell from the street! I got cappuccino chip & salted caramel. Husband got mint chocolate chip. We both got the waffle cone bowls. OMGGG it was so delicious!“

“We went to another location that was closed and called this one ahead(Sunday). This time we called ahead and they were open! We drove further with our newborn and our twin boys only to find out that neither of us had our wallets 🤦🏽‍♂️ slightly annoyed, I grabbed the keys to head home so we could pay. The manager recognized my wife’s voice and understood we already drove to another location to be let down and offered take care of our tab. This is such a blessing, it’s already hard get out of the house when you have a baby, and it turned everything around just from their recognition of what we were experiencing already. Glad we came to this spot, the kids loved it and we highly recommend visiting if you’re in - or even outside of the area!“

“This place brings a smile to my heart. I took my kids and grandchild and they enjoyed the ice cream and treats.“

“I just moved to this neighborhood and I live this place! The staff is wonderful and always crazy pleasant. I am also partial to the radio choice~ a fav ween song was playing when I walked in followed by something from my elder millennial ancient twee past from elephant 6 prolly. And look at this BEAUTIFUL tomato on my loaded bagel. Love it here!!!“

“This location is always exceptionally clean and the teenager working behind the counter does an incredible job keeping everything running smoothly. They are constantly working hard, keeping the topping bars neat, and providing top-notch customer service every time I come in. Highly recommend this spot!“

“my guys load up on toppings.“

“Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm“

“Ate and drank here for the first time. The drink ("Sex on a Waffle") was tasty, the waffle with the blueberries and strawberries was delicious. My friends said they enjoyed their food, also. I definitely plan to eat here more often, and bring more friends!“
