“I recently visited Dona Rosa #3, which took over the spot of the late Tamale Factory. I was on the hunt for tamales and stumbled upon this gem! This is the third location of this family-owned restaurant, inspired by the vibrant street food of Mexico City.

Estefania was fantastic—she made me feel right at home and gave some excellent food recommendations. Everything I tried was delicious, and their homemade tortillas are easily the best I’ve had outside of California. Definitely a spot I’d recommend stopping by if you get the chance! Don’t sleep on Dona Rosa.“

“Great place with a wonderful value! There's six different options for stew, but I ended up having the chicken tinga. It was fantastic, savory tomato broth with a generous portion of fall-apart chicken. We came on a Tuesday, so we were able to get birria mini-tacos for a dollar each. They've also got a nice little bottled beer and juice selection. I opted for a pacifico and it went great with everything. It's rare that I crave hot stew in the summer time but I can't wait until I come back here!“

“I can’t say enough good things about this little hidden jewel of a restaurant. The food and drinks are outstanding. The service is friendly and prompt. The restaurant itself is lovely and spotless. My only complaint is that it is hidden behind a berm on Hull Street and it is confusing because it faces Hull Street but must be entered through the shopping center parking lot…..but it is well worth your time to seek it out.“

“It's been a few years since I visited El Caporal in person. We were hungry after going downtown for a doctor's appointment so we decided to have dinner out.

This is such a great little restaurant. Extremely fast service, delicious, fresh food. Mom ordered a taco salad, I got #4 and requested the verde sauce which is amazing. The folks across from us ordered a great looking dessert before leaving, and we were jealous of the margarita ordered by the gentleman who took the table. Sadly we don't drink these days but lots of great looking cocktails were going by.

Chips were fresh and warm, salsa and white sauce were fresh.

$38 for the two of us with tip, two entrees and a diet Pepsi.

“We catered a welcome dinner for our wedding for 90 guests through Jalapenos in Carytown. The event was at a local brewery. We ordered a wide variety of items including tortillas, fajitas, steak, chicken, rice, quesadillas, dip, and other items. All the food was extremely fresh and tasty, with great portions! It came right on time, and was set up perfectly! We received so many compliments on all the food, and people kept going back for seconds. Carlos and his team were such a pleasure to work with, and cared so much about the success of our event. We could not recommend them enough.“

“Aside from my family’s cooking, Mi Jalisco is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! I was shocked to have such authentic Mexican food so far east in the US, but sure enough, it was delicious. Today was our last night living here so we had to enjoy it with Mi Jalisco one last time. Not only is the food delicious.. their portions are so big and the staff is the absolute best. The service is incredible. We became regulars and saw how much other regulars enjoyed their food, the atmosphere and the staff. We frequented the Ridgefield location(?) off of John Rolfe Parkway. “We recently placed a catering order from Tacos Mexico, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The tacos were incredible—full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and truly authentic Mexican tacos. You can immediately tell the difference in quality compared to many other places. I’ve tried tacos from a wide range of restaurants, and this spot easily ranks as one of the best I’ve had.

Everything tasted fresh and homemade, which really stood out. The ingredients were well-balanced, the meats were cooked perfectly, and the toppings complemented each taco without overpowering it. Another big plus is the pricing. For the level of quality, portion sizes, and overall experience, the value is excellent. Catering orders can sometimes be hit or miss, but this one exceeded expectations in every way.

“i ordered from this restaurant through doordash semi close to the close off time for take out, and even with it being that close, the food was still PHENOMENAL. the meat was so perfectly seasoned & juicy. the burrito was HUGE. even the finer details down to the chips being seasoned perfectly was a huge bonus. found one of my new favorite spots!!“

“The food was called in and had to wait, no big deal the phone had been off hook for 30 minutes prior. Once ordered went to pick up, had correct food on ticket but got home the fajitas had no rice, beans, toppings or tortillas to go with just the chicken and vegetables and my sons tacos i asked for hard shell plain with nothing but chicken- again, when opening them at home and they had cheese melted all in the chicken no way to pick it off. Had to take order back up there and they had left the sides ou and apologized for them not making it to the bag and said that they would remake the tacos (which took 20 more minutes after having to go back out to get this all fixed). Left a hefty tip the first time for a takeout order and was very upset my family and kids were at home waiting for dinner and i had to go back out and get everything fixed because we set down to eat and realized none of the food was correct. They act like thats not inconveniencing and laughed it off as a simple mistake. Make sure you check your orders and open all the containers, as well, otherwise you could find yourself out of dinner, gas, and an extra hour of time in the end.“
