“My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Council Oak in Bristol VA. I have ate steak at many high end restaurants, but will say in full confidence the 24oz porterhouse we shared was the best steak I've ever eaten cooked at the chefs recommended medium rare. The mac and cheese with country ham crumbles and whipped potatoes were equally incredible. We were seated in a low traffic area at the back of the restaurant in a nice half moon booth. Our waitress Taylor very nice and we never had to wait long for anything. The complementary chocolate cake for our anniversary was very good. Its nice to have a high end steakhouse in our area, we will be back and will tell others about this hidden gem. The restaurant was very easy to find, you go in the large main Hard Rock entrance then turn right and walk about 200ish feet.”

“Saturday, June 20, My son and I went for his birthday celebration. We understood completely with no reservation that we waited an hour and a half… Which we did happily, they had great entertainment in the bar.. Although when we did get seated, I would assume there just weren’t enough servers. Many tables were empty, but we waited two hours for our dinner….. No reason given just very apologetic and comped and appetizer and offered to comp a dessert, but after sitting there that long we were ready to go… I don’t know if they’re celebrity chef that had walk-through we seen made the problem.. But we were very disappointed.. I’ve had several over-the-top experiences there. We definitely will go back. I just needed to get this off my chest… Thank you for your attention”

“Great service and clean, but the flavors can be inconsistent
Whenever I pass through Bristol, I make sure to stop by the Hard Rock Casino and eat here. The service is always great, and the place is consistently neat and very clean. For appetizers, I love the Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll, and for entrees, I usually get the Lo Mein or the Curry Singapore Noodle. The only minor downside is that food consistency varies; even if you order the exact same dish, the flavor can taste different from visit to visit. Other than that, everything is excellent, and it is a nice place to stop by.”

“I dont live in area but was delivering a piece of furniture id sold in town. I had not eaten all day and it was around 9:30 pm. We were seated at the bar area. And waited on by the bartender. He was amazing. We ordered a ton of food. And i asked for a fruity cocktail of his choice and was handed ,hands down , the best Bahama Mamma ive ever had. And his attitude and personality was spot on 100 percent . He didnt one time rush us, and was super attentive. I bartended for 14 years , theres a certain breed of person for that position...he is top notch!! Hang on to this guy is my advise to Logans. ❤️❤️Im sorry i couldnt remember his name...Im horrible at names. Its embarrassing .”

“My husband, an avid fan of our local IHOP, didn't understand why I was insisting to locate & try Perkins on our road trip. We landed in our seats at 2:30, it took us at least 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to order, my husband craving a smoke asked if he would have time to smoke. Our fantastic hostess assured him he would have time, note we were seated as close as possible to the door. He walked out the door & I glanced at the dessert menu then in a blink, our hot food was on the table before my husband could return! It was 2:40! He was so delighted with how delicious his meal was that I got to say "I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE WORTH IT" & he definitely agreed. I couldn't believe that I could actually order my BLT on SOURDOUGH bread! The Tomato Basil soup was the best that I've ever tasted! I can't remember the name but I searched out the lowest cal dessert, strawberry cream cheese something & it was mouthwatering. He had the Chicken Fried Steak & said it was the most tender he has ever had & he has ordered it from multiple eateries. Served exactly as he had asked. he had ordered a side of gravy because never before had he gotten enough gravy served on his plate. We had to take the side to go because his plate was perfect! We were both so full that we had to take dessert to go. I can't believe MY HUSBAND actually finished his entire banana nut muffin! Sweets are not his thing so I was expecting at least a bite offered to me. I took a 1/2 dozen pumpkin Muffins to family that had kept out dog & they reported them to also be fantastic. My only complaint was that they are so far from my home! I will be searching for an excuse to get back there a soon as possible!”

“we just recently moved to the area and went to Alfredo's a few months ago for the first time. this food is amazing. I can tell you right now I am really fussy when it comes to calzones, and their spinach mushroom calzone was the best around. their salads are beautifully fresh and tasty and so big! and I can't even describe the Egyptian bread because I could eat it everyday until I die. LOL. the owner is super nice the atmosphere is clean and there's a huge menu selection. definitely check it out you won't be disappointed”

“I think I found a go-to for spaghetti and lasagna in Bristol. Italiano Cafe I wanted to try a few different things so I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, baked spaghetti and lasagna. I thought the portions would be as small as Olive Garden or Mama Mia's in Abingdon. I was wrong. Not only does this taste better than those 2, these portions are HUGE. It's a 12 inch pie pan full+. For $12-13. 🤓”

Long-time customer, great food — but tonight was frustrating.
Happy Star has been a favorite of mine for years, and the food is genuinely delicious — no complaints there. But my experience tonight was a real disappointment and I felt like I needed to share it.
I called in a pickup order at 6:51 PM and was told it would be 15–20 minutes. I arrived shortly after that window, was told a few more minutes, and ended up waiting over 40 minutes total. During that time, I watched a steady stream of DoorDash drivers come in and pick up order after order. It was hard not to notice that third-party delivery orders seemed to be taking priority over customers who had called ahead and were standing right there waiting.
To make matters worse, a call was made to check on the order and we were told the food was already ready. When I went back in, I was told it would be a few more minutes — so there was clearly a communication breakdown somewhere.
The young man working the counter also seemed distracted and not fully engaged with the customers waiting.
Again, the food is wonderful — that part never changes. But if you’re prioritizing DoorDash volume over your walk-in and call-in customers, that’s something worth revisiting. As a loyal customer, it’s just not the experience I’ve come to expect from Happy Star.”

“Great food but a little pricey so its not our frequent dive. Service is fast and efficient but can be a little sour sometimes depends on who you get as your server.
Id say about $20-$30 each if you get a small dish and an app or a larger plate like hibachi”

“We were visiting from Knoxville, we rarely eat out as it’s overpriced for quality of food. Puerto Nuevo changed our minds. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean and the staff are dressed professionally with smiles and warmth. The salsa bar is a wonderful way to start with fresh, colorful and flavorful options. We ordered the corn ribs as that was new item we had never seen before. They were wonderful. We chose steak items and the ranchero sauce was delicious and homemade. Valerie was an amazing server and the manager gave us each a free dessert of tres leches that was wonderful way to end the meal. If we lived closer this would be our numero uno place to dine.”

“I come to this Starbucks often to study and truly love the atmosphere! They have an amazing manger, Debby, she is so cheerful and truly has an amazing team. All the staff is so kind and caring and you can tell they enjoy their jobs! I was studying today and she walked through the door and they were all excited to see her! This was their launch day for Christmas drinks and although it can be a stressful time, they were all so kind and patient!! Thank you guys for all the kindness and the great atmosphere to do school in!!”

“I used to be a huge fan of Chick-fil-A and would eat there at least once a week. However, as my city expanded and developed, the chicken they serve back home became incredibly salty, spicy, and dry. Coming here brought back all the feelings from years ago—the casual, friendly conversations, the warm smiles, the fast yet patient service, and of course, the delicious chicken sandwiches. I will absolutely add this stop to my road trips in the future—even if it means making a detour just to come here.”

“We went to the store at Exit 63 in Kingsport, near Tri-Cities Airport. We were seated right away, but waited 20 or so minutes with out any service. The tables beside us were quickly waited on. They didn't have many tables seated, so not very busy. We got up and left and drove to Exit 7. We were seated right away, the server (Anna) was there in just a couple of minutes to take our order. The kitchen was slow to get our food out for not being very busy. It was all good, hot and tasty. We typically wouldn't drive to Exit 7 but would return if we are in the area, but we are probably done with Exit 63 location.”

“Unique today. Cajun chicken biscuit was so dry it cracked when a piece broken off. Gravy from the biscuits and gravy was sawdust gravy. No sausage. Horrible meal today. Have had good experiences but this was a total disaster. To top it off would not give me my receipt so I could stub. That was odd. Think meal was eleven something. Simply great experience! Parking was easy even with our big truck. Staff welcomed us as soon as we came in and were helpful and pleasant! Very clean restaurant. Food was all fresh and delicious! They even have the flavored lemonades which are a fantastic idea! We haven't seen that yet at Panda. Absolutely would recommend this Panda Express.

I read over the previous lower reviews and it seems that they were about people who would show up at 9:59 and be bothered they were closing or people who just didn't like this type of food. The other type of negative review were people who could have just asked the staff for help to fix minor things, but instead wanted to whine online! C'mon people!

Summary, this Panda was great and glad we came!
