“This is the best restaurant in the area. Yes they’re fancier places, more expensive places, but this is my favorite. El agave is a very small chain. I love all of the food I’ve ever had here. Each time down you receive salsa and chips, and they are so delicious. The salsa is so fresh, and the chips come out hot and crispy.

Service is always excellent, the food comes out quickly and efficiently. I guess my favorite dish is probably fajitas. I got chicken topped with chorizo last time I was there, it was excellent.

“Server was inundated with customers and never brought me the beer I ordered. When steaks arrived server, not the one we started with, asked if we needed anything else. I mentioned the beer and said to just forget about it. He must have told manager as she showed up immediately and offered the beer at no charge. I refused but she insisted so it was delivered. Nice gesture that kind of made up for original ommission.“

“Absolutly amazing food and service. I had the chicken piccata with shrimp. It was to die for. The shrimp was perfectly soft, i swear it must have been breast fed or something. We had a server named mason. He was hilarious and super charismatic. He made the whole experience a lot better. He made me a mocktail from scratch. It was a strawberry blueberry drink with lemon juice and rosemarry and mint. It had a beautiful frozen lemon rose ice cub. I also had the mascarprone for desert it was perfectly balanced of sweet and chocolatly. The place was absolutly stunning and such pretty set up. Even my youngest cousin (4 year old) had lots of fun here and got to have great food too. Literally everything i had was super delious.

Our group ordered the baked brie and the fried pork belly for appetizers. It was very good especially the baked brie. For dinners we ordered the beef short ribs, shrimp skewers, beef short rib pasta, and a wedge salad with beef skewer. And for dessert we ordered the bread pudding. Everything was yummy. Salsa was smooth--just a hint of heat and not too much cilantro. Beef and chicken flautas offered a great crunch and tender meat filling. Chile relleno, filled with melty cheesy goodness, was a hit! The skinny margarita was as you'd expect--good, but not quite the punch of a regular margarita. The mango-habanero shrimp was a beautiful presentation and the sauce packed a great, sweet kick--minus a star for shrimp being really over cooked (easy fix for the kitchen, though). Sounds like the new management team is off to a promising start and we can't wait to visit again!“
