We ordered prime rib, pork, and shrimp as the proteins. I had a tonkotsu + tomato broth and my husband had the spicy miso + tonkatsu broth. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We’ll be returning for sure. I recommend California Shabu Shabu!“

The food came out fast and all of the sushi was delicious, my favorite being the maguro nigiri. “I had a very large order for a birthday celebration, thus a to-go order. One of the families had just returned from living in Japan for several years. The quality and creative selections were so good that they were even impressed. I ordered just a little more than I needed, but the sushi boats were much generous than expected, so we had very nice leftovers to enjoy. Everything was packed and carefully, and the platters were beautifully arranged; it almost felt bad to eat them and ruin the artwork. We will definitely be back!“

The creativity behind the sauces truly sets this place apart, and I even heard the chef makes his own soy sauce—which absolutely shows in the depth of flavor. The Japanese uni was beautifully presented, and the tuna was a deep, rich red that melted in my mouth, finished perfectly with a delicate sprinkle of truffle oil. Every bite felt intentional and expertly crafted. I only wish I lived closer—this would easily be my daily go-to restaurant.“

“It was a bit if a wait for our reserved table of 4, but luckily there were seats at the bar to hang for a bit. Victoria served great white tea shots!
Our server Corey was very attentive, humorous and dealt with all our requests with a smile. The food was flavorful but very small portions.
Parking was validated but did not work, we called the customer service number so they can open the gates.“

He asked me is it my first time here? So Yes! Then he started recommending all of those signature dishes which I was gonna ask him since the first place but he did a very good job beginning with that! Plus he was genuinely kindhearted and care for his guests. The chef(I guess)also delivered food by himself with A5 Wagyu and other stuffs for you! The music also made it a lot more enjoyable! “Excellent sushi restaurant! We were in Vienna and craving sushi and found this gem. We were seated right away, greeted with a smile and had a lovely evening. We started off with the edamame and miso soup and salad. We were BLOWN away with how good everything was right off the bat! The house salad had a onion sauce on the top that was so good! Best house salad I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Then we both had rolls that were amazing! Joanne was our waitress and she was so kind and efficient. She even provided us with recommendations and a great description of some of the dishes I asked about. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vienna! Thank you so much!“

Also you MUST try the Tokyo Shrimp here it is FANTASTIC!! The filet mignon melts in your mouth love the salmon lobster and scallops too. Their ginger sauce, yum yum sauce, AND salad dressing are all on point. It’s hard to find a place that does everything as well as Samurai. We drive from Ashburn just to come here for hibachi.“

“This is one of the best Japanese steakhouses I have ever been to. I have been to a handful but this place has always been my home. I have been coming to this place since I was a child and before the new owners. It has yet to disappoint me with anything. Atmosphere is always great and the food is even better. I miss Kawasaki because he would do the craziest things like throw an onion from across the room for a free meal (which I caught) some of the best memories of mine have come from here. I 100% suggest if you haven’t had hibachi before.

“I went here for my birthday for the first time. I ordered the unagi don that was very delicious honestly 10/10. My family told our waitress it was my birthday and they gave me this adorable balloon rose, along with 2 slices of cake( one small cheesecake slice with yuzu, and a chocolate chestnut cake).

The cheesecake was lovely and I’m sure the chocolate one was too but I refrained since I’m allergic to tree nuts. The presentation of the dishes looked elegant and the food came out at a good time. Even if it took more time I wouldn’t mind since all the food was delicious. We came in around 2 and it was somewhat empty which I appreciated. The staff was very kind and gave us a complimentary appetizer of sweet potato tempura.“
