“What an incredible little restaurant. I still can’t believe we happened across it! My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. We were blown away by the kindness and knowledge of the sommelier and staff, the generosity and talent of the kitchen, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance. Every dish was on point, every service mark was hit, and I could write paragraphs about the wine recommendations. I would rate it more than five stars if I could. Huge thank you to Clay, Caleb, Kendall and everyone else we met for making our night so memorable. If you’re thinking about opening another location I vote DC!“

“Great food and atmosphere!“

“It is a nice old pub place. Went there during the UVA football game for their $3 draft pours which was on their website and instagram, and the server had no idea what I was talking about until I showed her. After she spoke to her manager, they did honor it. Also, went to get a late lunch. My wife got the TGS burger which was very delicious. It was a double patty with a little bit of heat to it but very tasty. I got a special menu item which was the chicken salad sandwich and was made by one of the chef's, who was on shift when we were there. It was the perfect sandwich for warm October day and it came with fries! Overall, not a bad place to grab a quick bite to eat and a drink.“

“Excellent restaurant. I would suggest the mahi mahi if it's on special when you go. I absolutely do not like fish but this was made so well I ate several bites of my mom's. I did have the burger and it was made perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive as well.“

“I hosted a bridal shower for my sister at Ellie’s and it was amazing! Atmosphere is adorable and the food & drinks were fantastic. Definitely would recommend the tacos!!! The owner and staff were also so incredibly helpful. As a UVA alumna, I wish Ellie’s had been around when I was a student!“

“Went to Glass Half Full with a friend for a quick lunch before shopping. We were seated quickly and waited on by a very friendly server while there. The service was fast, although I was a big fan of the grilled fish tacos I ordered. I think I would have preferred the fried version better. My friend however very much enjoyed her grilled salmon salad. I was also pleased at the attention that the server gave to my friends dairy allergy.“

“Great place to grab something before your flight! Service is extremely quick! Even though there was a line wrapping around the place they got everyone's orders in and out quickly and efficiently. My chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was fantastic! Staff was also extremely pleasant and the prices were actually not bad considering it's an airport.“

“After a long drive from NJ to VA it was great to have a relaxing dinner. I had the Root Burger; it was delicious. My husband devoured the fish & chips and my daughter was very pleased that grilled cheese was offered on the kids menu. Kudos to our server Wendy M. who was very professional, attentive, and kind.“

“We have been to the Alamo a few times and it is always such a great experience! We recently attended the moana 2 party and were so surprised when we arrived to activities and little gifts. This was such a fun addition to the viewing experience. The food is pretty good for a dining movie theatre and I love that they do bottomless popcorn and drinks. My only small critique is that the seats are not the most comfortable and not all the seats recline. If they had updated seats and recliners for all chairs this would be a 5 star for me. Overall though would definitely recommend over any of the other movie theaters in charlottesville.“
