“Went to Glass Half Full with a friend for a quick lunch before shopping. We were seated quickly and waited on by a very friendly server while there. The service was fast, although I was a big fan of the grilled fish tacos I ordered. I think I would have preferred the fried version better. My friend however very much enjoyed her grilled salmon salad. I was also pleased at the attention that the server gave to my friends dairy allergy.“

“Eastwood is my favorite winery in Charlottesville and has been for years. When my 50th birthday was on the horizon, and I decided to have a party, Eastwood was the first place that entered my mind. Given the time of year and the day of my birthday, Eastwood was already busy with many events and could not accommodate my request. But I learned that Eastwood had recently bought the former Michael Shapps building on Avon Street. It is now the Virginia Wine Collective (VWC), and the floor above the tasting room is a lovely event space with the ability to serve delicious Eastwood wine and offer amazing food. Once I visited the space, I knew that I had found the perfect place to have my party. I began working with Mary on the menu and food timeline and throughout the process she was available to answer my questions and offer suggestions.

The space comfortably held around 35 guests, snack table, bar, food buffet and dance floor. Mary and Gaby handled the bar, while Corey worked his magic in the kitchen. The food options were fantastic. The feedback was great. And for me, I was thrilled that Mary and Corey made sure there were vegan options – more than I had expected. The pasta dish, roasted veggies and warm chickpeas were all vegan. (And my carnivore friends/family did not notice.) The warm chickpeas were a huge hit – I’ve been asked to get the recipe.

“Had a relaxing lunch the other day. The chicken and rice soup was excellent. The chicken salad sandwich was good too as was the house salad; great service; just need to remember to get parking validated with any food check greater than $25.“

“Can't speak on the food because I have never had it but service is solid and atmosphere is unmatched. It's rarely if ever so crowded that you are uncomfortable and they more often than not will have live music. Easily my favorite spot to go close to grounds.“

The wait for the food was a little longer than expected, especially when you’re watching the clock before a flight—but once it arrived, the burger delivered. Cooked well, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot.

Not a rush job, but a decent meal in an airport setting, which honestly puts it a step above average. If you’ve got a little extra time before boarding, it’s a perfectly good option. 👍🍔✈️“

“This was our first time here man was it good. Nice clean location and the service was great. So nice to walk into an actual pizza restaurant and get hit with the smells of pizza. Most of the places around here, just have pizza as an item on the menu, but not as the centerpiece. I ordered the side Caesar salad was delicious and the spinach and artichoke dip we ordered, was as well, but come on...8 little pieces of bread is not enough for all that dip. We ordered the house pizza to share and it was delicious. This is our new favorite Charlottesville pizza. Paper straws are trash…trash I say, and I will bring my own plastic straws next time.“

“What an incredible little restaurant. I still can’t believe we happened across it! My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. We were blown away by the kindness and knowledge of the sommelier and staff, the generosity and talent of the kitchen, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance. Every dish was on point, every service mark was hit, and I could write paragraphs about the wine recommendations. I would rate it more than five stars if I could. Huge thank you to Clay, Caleb, Kendall and everyone else we met for making our night so memorable. If you’re thinking about opening another location I vote DC!“

“We had an excellent dinner this evening at the Sedona Taphouse. I was there celebrating a birthday with my family. The server was very helpful and help us with our various food and drink selections.

The food was excellent, I had a New York Strip that was cooked perfectly. There were several other meals chosen from Salmon to Filet mignon from the menu and they were all excellent.

I highly recommend this the restaurant for all occasions.“

“I wanted to go to a movie recently, after a difficult day, and decided to go to Alamo, where I could also get dinner. Everything about it exceeded my expectations! Friendly greetings from staff who helped me choose the best seat for me. Had a snack in the Tap Room before my theater opened. ELLA was my outstanding server in the theater. She was such a pleasure to work with. Sensing that I was having a rough day, she made great menu suggestions, checked on me, and left me such a sweet note afterwards. I can’t thank her enough for her acts of kindness that made such a positive difference in my day. Thank you!“

“Great burger love it but the fries need work they sit on the counter and wait for the server to bring them with your order and they are cold and greasy by the time you get them. Last time there in May I sent them back and asked for a fresh cooked batch which they did and they were so much better“

“After a long drive from NJ to VA it was great to have a relaxing dinner. I had the Root Burger; it was delicious. My husband devoured the fish & chips and my daughter was very pleased that grilled cheese was offered on the kids menu. Kudos to our server Wendy M. who was very professional, attentive, and kind.“
