“Simply spectacular. We sat at the bar. The carbonara was the best we ever had. We came in contact with 5 staff members that were warm, friendly and professional. We watch them prepare the best mixed drinks that were made with full to the brim shots. We couldn't have asked for a better evening of dining.“

“The food is amazing, the brunch is phenomenal! Cocktails are great and staff is super knowledgeable. They have weekly specials (burger Mondays, date night Tuesday’s, half off wine bottle Wednesdays, bachata night Thursdays) and live music! 10/10 would definitely recommend.“
“Normally love mellow but this last experience was fairly negative. Ordered 4 pizzas to go and they were cold. They forgot the ranch on my Buffalo pizza as well as the two sides of beer cheese that I ordered. When I called the person answering the phone acted like it was our fault for not checking for the sides of beer cheese. Overall did not meet expectations. ---- REVISED owner reached out to apologize and discounted our order. Would eat here again but will probably be in the restaurant and not to go.“
“Service and food were impeccable! The food had the best flavor and melted in your mouth. Never had to wait on a server to get a refill or food order as they consistently checked back but without being over bearing. Just all around amazing, would highly recommend and will definitely revisit if I am in the area again as I was just in town visiting.“
“Just went and saw a movie with my kids, ordered a margarita and it was not to my taste, not saying it was bad, but I didn’t like it and just ordered another drink and told them to take it back, my waitress was so awesome and took it off my tab, I was willing to pay for it, but such great service!!!!“
“The food was delicious and there was something for everyone in our party of 5. Including 2 vegetarians and a picky 6 year old! The ambience is absolutely perfect, it just felt cool to be there. Our server, Ephraim, was truly awesome. He made us feel welcomed right away, he was efficient and quick and friendly and our food was perfect and all of us were in agreement that this experience was absolutely perfect. “We go to firefly for a drag show. The food is always good but the service can be very hectic. You have to order at the bar and sometimes it's very difficult to get someone to take your order. The drag show is always fun and there are usually some awesome performances. The food is usually good.“
“Beautiful hotel, home to The Good Sport. Very lively crowd, energized by a U of Virginia televised basketball game and Super Bowl Weekend. From the valet parking staff to the host to the waitress, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The cobb salad was beautifully presented; the smash burger, served with tasty waffle fries, was great. Highly recommended.“
“We walked up and down the nice downtown mall area and decided this was our first choice for lunch. Overall, it was very good. The burgers were tasty, but actually a little too big and physically difficult to eat. Also, the fries were a dark brown and almost seemed burnt to me. I realize some people like this style, but it was not for me. Service was outstanding. It has a bit of a cramped feel to the seating, especially in the middle area. I had to wait for a few people to clear before I had room to put on my jacket. Also we felt it was a bit pricey, but I think that is typical of all the places in this neighborhood, so understandable. Overall we were satisfied but will try a different place to mix it up next time.“
“Went to Glass Half Full with a friend for a quick lunch before shopping. We were seated quickly and waited on by a very friendly server while there. The service was fast, although I was a big fan of the grilled fish tacos I ordered. I think I would have preferred the fried version better. My friend however very much enjoyed her grilled salmon salad. I was also pleased at the attention that the server gave to my friends dairy allergy.“
“Been a couple of years since we've been there - not so good ... burgers were way overdone even for a smash burger, dry and no flavor. This time was much better. Nice crusty "lace" on the edges and, although still smashed (but not "crushed,") a tasty, juicy, flavorful burger. Will go back! ( Sidenote : iced tea, instant, not so good ...go for the beer!) Pleasant experience.“
“After a long drive from NJ to VA it was great to have a relaxing dinner. I had the Root Burger; it was delicious. My husband devoured the fish & chips and my daughter was very pleased that grilled cheese was offered on the kids menu. Kudos to our server Wendy M. who was very professional, attentive, and kind.“
