McDonald's in Charlottesville

“I stop at this McDonalds to pick up breakfast on my way to pick up my fiancé who is exhausted and hungry after working all night and part of the morning. I have nothing but good things to say about this location. It's a smaller McDonalds and is tucked away in the Northern part of town so it's not as busy, at least when I come there on weekend mornings. I have gotten wonderful, courteous, and efficient service here, and the store is clean and cozy. I love their cute string lights inside. The food is always fresh and delicious and their caramel latte is to die for. Thank you!“

“This is the only McDonald’s around Charlottesville that consistently has fresh coffee, even decaf, regardless of the time of day. I will go out of my way to go to this McDonald’s location because too often I’ve gotten stale coffee from other locations. Kudos!“

“these employees are super kind, both the lady taking my money and then the other lady giving me the food & beverage were so awesome. taking the time to give eye contact, make you smile and laugh, so sweet. thank you! i respect folks so much who are kind, friendly and take the time to be chatting (not overly chat your ear off, but just the right amount. so cool!) with you, you are both there in the line, what else is there to do? know that there will be a wait, if you can call it that, yes, i have waiting in a McDonald's line before, so that is not this ... but it was a moment or 2 ... the food was hot (fries and chicken McNuggets) the iced coffee was delicious!! yum. i was hungry, late lunch i think it was 2 pm (ish) but this line was still popping. glad for kind folks. thank you for making my Wednesday nice. thank you.“

“Customer service & related training needs to be improved.

Explanation: I ordered the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, and a Biscuit w/Sausage Gravy meal. You would think that the clerk could give me the correct plastic eating utensils; syrup and butter—upon picking up my order.

It took me two extra trips to the counter before resolving this.

So, this needs to be addressed promptly and professionally. As my future issues with poor customer service, will be communicated with the franchise rights holding company level management.“

“Got through the drive-thru quickly, and the food was tasty. However, the order taker used a sneaky upsell tactic, trying to get me to buy a larger coffee when I had clearly asked for a meal by number. Dude, it’s breakfast—I’m not caffeinated yet, not thinking clearly, and definitely NOT in the mood for games. If I ask for a number two meal, I want it the way it comes, not a sales pitch to squeeze a few extra cents of profit out of me for the corporation. I could maybe understand if you earned a commission, but you’re not—you’re just lining the pockets of corporate executives while the rest of us are doing our best in a tough economy. Please, just stop.“
