Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and super fun — perfect for both family gatherings and catching up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, walking us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed.

The shabu shabu was top-notch — fresh ingredients, high-quality meats, and rich, flavorful broths. They had a great selection of veggies, sauces, and dipping options that let everyone at the table customize their meal just the way they liked it. We especially loved the wagyu and the spicy miso broth — so good!

The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had a great energy without being too loud. Plenty of space for groups, and the table setup made it really easy to enjoy the cooking experience together.

We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, interactive dining experience that brings people together!“

“Born and raised in Japan, I am pretty judgmental when it comes to any establishments claiming to be “Japanese.”

I had miso soup ($4), Toro Bowl ($28) and hot tea ($3).

Toro Bowl: I was not impressed, but definitely this dish was not disgusting like some other fake Japanese restaurants serve. Ikura wasn’t the freshest, and the three sheets of nori (sea weeds) were stale (thus making it chewy rather than crispy) and tasted very cheep. Overall it was “Okay”

Miso soup: I was pleasantly surprised with how they have used decent amount of dashi in their soup (like how they do it in Japan), giving it an authentic twist. The soup was flavorful and I enjoyed it.

Tea: this was another pleasant surprise to receive what it mocked as Genmai-cha (tea with roasted rice bits in it). Well done.

From what you get in DMV area, I’d give a 4 stars or even 4.5 stars. As an overall “Japanese” izakaya, I’d put this in 3 stars range.“

“While traveling, I stopped by KAZONE for a meal with friends. The atmosphere was classy and the staff were friendly, which was nice.
For the meal, I ordered pork cutlet, mixed buckwheat, and takoyaki, and I also ordered tteokbokki as a side menu. Everyone in my group enjoyed it and were satisfied. The pork cutlet was so meaty on the outside that it melted in your mouth. In particular, the tteokbokki was much more delicious than the tteokbokki I had eaten before. There was

“To the comments giving bad reviews: 1. Who orders sushi for delivery? It’s supposed to fresh. 2. Sushi is always ‘overpriced’ for the amount of food you get. At least this place gives you high quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. 3. Other reviews complaining about the dining experience really don’t seems to have a developed taste. The sushi is so good that it doesn’t matter is you are just giving “one napkin”. Ask for more. The sushi is delish. The true flavor of the rice and the fish and the extra topping really come out because they don’t douse the sushi in so much sauce that all you taste is the sauce. “Excellent sushi restaurant! We were in Vienna and craving sushi and found this gem. We were seated right away, greeted with a smile and had a lovely evening. We started off with the edamame and miso soup and salad. We were BLOWN away with how good everything was right off the bat! The house salad had a onion sauce on the top that was so good! Best house salad I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Then we both had rolls that were amazing! Joanne was our waitress and she was so kind and efficient. She even provided us with recommendations and a great description of some of the dishes I asked about. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vienna! Thank you so much!“

Also you MUST try the Tokyo Shrimp here it is FANTASTIC!! The filet mignon melts in your mouth love the salmon lobster and scallops too. Their ginger sauce, yum yum sauce, AND salad dressing are all on point. It’s hard to find a place that does everything as well as Samurai. We drive from Ashburn just to come here for hibachi.“
