“I've been coming here the past year and a half, and every single time it's consistently fantastic. Their katsu is the best in the DMV, and comparable to what I've had in Japan when I was there last year (personally recommend the fish katsu, and the chicken katsu). The service is always friendly, and the owner often comes out to check on you personally. I almost don't want this place to get too popular so that I always have an open table ready for me, but they really deserve to be a top spot in this area.“

“My husband and I love Lil' Bowl. Tonight I decided to surprise my husband with a bento bowl which he has never had. They were so good. There was so much food, we had leftovers for tomorrow. Yum! I had the Pad Thai...very good. My husband had the chicken fried rice, and we both really enjoyed our Bento Boxes. We also really enjoyed the mango sticky rice for our dessert. If you like Thai and Japanese cuisine, you have to try Lil' Bowl. We highly recommend it.“

“Walking into the Lotte food court, I could immediately smell the katsu cooking at Hikari Don Katsu--and it was impossible not to follow the scent. I'm a huge fan of both katsu and curry, so after hearing this spot does both well, I had to give it a try.
The katsu tasted comforting and homemade, like someone put real care into every bite. It was crispy, juicy, and especially good with the sauce, which had a subtle sweetness and buttery richness without being too heavy.
The curry leaned more Korean-style than Japanese-style to me, but honestly, it was so good. It had a nice spicy kick, lots of flavor, and was filling enough that I could happily eat a whole bowl of the curry by itself.
Overall, I was really impressed with Hikari Don Katsu. Great katsu, great curry, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to when I'm craving something warm and satisfying.“

“I have been coming here for sushi. I know all the staff and they know me since my son was in college. Now my son is going to turn 30. I love everything about this restaurant, like family.
If you live around in Centreville you should come by and try.“

“I had a totally different experience here. The staff has always been polite and helpful, and the food is fresh and tasty.
Also, it’s a bit misleading to say it was just soy sauce—there were multiple extra sauce requests like spicy mayo and chili sauce. It’s pretty normal for places to charge for additional sauces beyond the basics.
Overall, great service and solid food. Definitely worth trying for yourself!“

“Service it good, don't get me wrong. But I only wish there was someone talks Spanish so we could know more about the food and try out even more and the great food, so I really did love it. I always have to used Google to see what food is what so I can understand more. But it was amazing and love it! It clean from my two times that I have went there, super nicely, so if you love sushi 🍣 I would recommend it here, and I hope I would try where the chef is and cooking! I heard good comments so! I be more happy to go once more!“

“A group of friends and I arrived and ordered some food. It's a really good place to eat; we had different opinions, but honestly, the staff are excellent at serving customers.The food was excellent. I ordered sushi and a bento box, and I honestly have no complaints. Absolutely delicious and great food.“

“Very fresh sushi and reasonable price. Can’t find any other place like this in the area. Very satisfying! I recommend sashimi salad bowl with spicy sauce (serves with). It’s Korean style poke bowl! Also miso soup comes with it. If you need more, it’s only $0.50. So good!“

“Oh my gosh! Aka Sushi is divine! We had seaweed salad, tuna roll and salmon belly, and WOW! So fresh, super delicious! The service was wonderful. Very clean, actually immaculate . We foodies highly recommend Aka Sushi. You will not be disappointed.“
