Starbucks in Fairfax

“I used to visit this Starbucks regularly. Since I was in the area, I decided to stop by and grab a hot latte. The latte was good—a smooth, warm coffee drink made with strong espresso and steamed milk, which was perfect for today's weather. The service was okay, but my table was sticky and had some cookie crumbs, which I had to wipe off myself.“

Lots of outdoor seating, courteous & friendly staff - most especially Austin (he is a real ace!)
Plenty of free parking and plus there are five (5) places to eat in the same small shopping center. Also great is that there is no drive-thru at this Starbucks, so the staff can really take care of the sit-down and pre-ordering / mobile order / APP customers. (The ones with drive throughs seem more tense and flurry of activity.) This makes for a more relaxed cafe environment.

“Just have to give a shoutout to the guys working yesterday (7/14) evening. I used my birthday reward on a big beautiful drink and promptly dumped it all over the inside of my car as I rushed to get in during the thunderstorm. I walked back in the store, disheveled and drenched, and they made me a new drink and gave me rags to clean my car. They were so kind and I’m so grateful! Thank you!“

Of course, the coffee and drinks are fantastic. Everything tastes consistently great—from the classics like the Caffè Americano and Caramel Macchiato to seasonal favorites like the Pumpkin Spice Latte or the Peppermint Mocha. The quality is always there, and I love how you can customize your drink exactly how you want it—extra shots, almond milk, light ice, sugar-free syrup—whatever fits your mood.

Their food options have also really improved over the years. I love the breakfast sandwiches, egg bites, and pastries (that warmed croissant is hard to beat!). It’s perfect for when you want something quick but still satisfying.

Another thing I really appreciate is how clean and comfortable the stores always are. The seating areas are well-maintained, the counters spotless, and there’s usually a cozy mix of seating for everyone—high tables, soft chairs, and bar seats by the window. The Wi-Fi is reliable too, which makes Starbucks a great spot to study, catch up on emails, or just relax with a good book.

And let’s not forget the app and rewards program—it’s seriously one of the best out there. Being able to order ahead, skip the line, and earn free drinks and food is such a convenient bonus. It shows how much Starbucks understands its customers and keeps finding ways to make the experience even smoother.

Overall, Starbucks continues to set the standard for what a great coffee shop should be: consistent quality, friendly service, and an atmosphere that feels like a second home. “If I could give this Starbucks location a 10 star review…I absolutely would! Their customer service is top notch with their team jumping in to help when needed, to bringing my For-Here coffee to my table (when it’s not busy), to clearing off the mug and plates from my table, and for simply being extremely friendly! I have never been one to tip at a coffee shop…but ever since they began the cafe-style service, I 100% do! Today I didn’t have time to stay and went thru their drive thru…I wish I had gotten the drive-thru employee’s name, as he made my entire day! He handed me the food and then before handing me my drink…he took a few seconds to write a couple of sweet notes on my cup. (U R Awesome and Good Vibes :) ) and handed it to me with a nod and smile! Fantastic team!“

“I went here for a drink for my bday and these precious three employees working today made me feel so special. I've never been to this location and yet as soon as they heard bday they went all out for me and truly made me feel special. It's the little things in life, and since I'm celebrating alone this year, those three employees unknowingly made my birthday go from 0 to 100, just from their small acts of kindness. 💜“

“The staff was nice. I understand it gets busy and such. No complaints about the location staff but the location had a visit from who I am assuming is their District or Regional Manager and she was very rude to them. I didn't appreciate that.“

I was worked there for a few hours and the way he helped everyone, and offered to take all the cardboard waste that I had as well. “This place would be a 20/10. Probably my favorite Starbucks! The employees were so sweet and so patient that for the first time in my life, I left a tip. I got an iced mocha(soo good and perfect for the weather) and my sister got a mango dragon fruit water refresher(also perfect for the weather). I was with a group of friends and it was so much fun, for sure coming back here!“

“This location along with the starbucks on 10344 Main St, Fairfax, VA 22030 are the ONLY TWO locations worth going to! They have your order correct the first time and I've never had to DRIVE back. I would make rather come here and or drive out of my way for great customer service and product. Its never rushed and always correct!“

“I forgot to ask for coconut milk and the staff was very kind and helpful about it. I have social anxiety so this was a huuuge relief. The barista even confirmed with me that I wanted both nondairy milk and regular cold foam since cold foam has dairy in it. That was a very thoughtful touch that made me feel valued. I used to work for Starbucks and I think you're doing great. They accept personal cups and you can scan for stars! Thanks morning staff 11/23 🫶💚“

“There’s no one like the barista I had. Great service and amazing conversation with Katherine and I only go to this Starbucks because of how she makes me feel appreciated as a customer and how good my drinks always turn out. If you want the best barista, she’s your girl ??“

“Excellent service, it appears they have some trainees so patience is advised, we all gotta start somewhere anyways. When it gets crowded they do their best to do their job and complete all the orders regardless of the rudeness and impatience of other customers. I do advise coming 5-10 before closing if you’re running late because they start parking at that time, I mean obviously, it takes time to clean and prepare for the next day. But they also seem to follow the rules as the other areas in Giant, which close 15 minutes before 8, for the same reason. But overall, a good place, kind and great service, and really hard working employees who go above and beyond. Sometimes it isn’t the employees that’s are the problem, but the customers. Learn some patience and kindness, it’ll help in every other area of life.

“Not sure why the reviews are so bad. There's a nice little sitting area close to the exit/entrance of the Giant (inside). The barista (female) was so so nice when I was ordering today. I barely see baristas making small conversations with customers this days. Also, the new bar, salad bar, and other food arrangements of Giant are right there next to the Starbucks corner. I'd come back for groceries, grab lunch/coffee and enjoy in the University complex outside.“
