“Nice atmosphere live band, food and drinks with lots of friendly people with good vibes, but not enough seats, they must do better in that area. They were pack as well. Bartenders didn't serve everybody, people were complaining about being ignored when trying to order drinks or food.“

“My wife and I have consistently enjoyed Swell for several years. Service and food are exceptional! However, I'm posting this review because of something that occurred this evening. Two days ago, I received an email informing me of a new addition to their menu ...... she crab soup. My wife and I were thrilled and decided to check it out this evening. We arrived, order wine and a beer, and were informed that the she crab soup ran out yesterday. I'm hoping that, in the future, if the owner is going to advertise a new menu item, that item should be on the menu. If it is not available, the owner should consider sending an email to his VIP members.“

“Food was great except the spinach was a bit salty today. Almost everything there is made from scratc. Though prices seem high, the portions are large and likely enough to split into two meals if desired.

“My girlfriends and I tried their dining experience yesterday and we were not disappointed at all. Our server, Cat, was amazing! We started with some drinks, which she made and OMG the Belle Isle, which has Lavender Moonshine in it, is now one of my favorite drinks! 🍹 We had the fried oysters and crab dip appetizers. The oysters were so fresh and was battered and fried perfectly, I must say. The crab dip with pita bread was so delicious! We all said we could have eaten that and would have been completely satisfied. We all ordered the same entree, the Cobb Salad, with ranch dressing. Everything was so fresh! To top everything off, we visited The Market, which is their pastry/bakery shop. I purchased the HoHo cupcake, a lemon zinger cookie and a chocolate chip cookie. I’ve eaten some of the lemon zinger and it is delicious! The General Manager was very nice and shared with us the history of this wonderful establishment. This is a place where you can take your family, have a nice day or night date, they have space for a private party or if you just want to have a nice meal at the bar. I am definitely returning. “My husband and I love this place. The atmosphere is so family oriented, and they treat every patron with love. I volunteer to feed the homeless and asked them to cater for us. “Hidden Gem inside a family run convenience store. Been multiple times and food is always fresh and good quality, never a bad experience. The wings, wedges, cheese steaks, and homemade ranch are a must. They also have a large selection of drinks, snacks, and tobacco related items as well as cake slices that are great as well. Very nice people great customer service. Call ahead to avoid wait times as it gets and stays pretty busy most times of the day.“

“I've been going to see Eva for 20 years and her food is still the same, pure love and respect made with every meal, food is awesome, and the she hasn't aged a day. I always order a large bacon cheese burger add egg over medium with fries and 2 chili cheese dogs all the way with a LG sweet tea. Been hitting that hunger spot perfectly“

“The owners are super nice. Our food is always hot and delicious. I always get two pork chop sandwiches with tomato lettuce and onions with French fries and two egg rolls. I may even drink a beer while we are there. It's a chill place to go and shoot pool and listen to some good music and laugh with friends.“

“Booked our command Christmas party here. We had the back room with our own personal bartender. The food was amazing, the drinks were on point and the room was perfect for us. Our bartender went above and beyond and took everything in stride when we switched things up on her the last minute. Dave communicated with us every step of the way and made sure we had everything we needed. He let us view the space before we made the final decision and even let us come in early before they opened to let set up the day of the party. Will definitely be back.“

“Ok hear me out this place is so GOOD, it was my FIRST TIME trying it out , definitely coming back !!! ok the reviews had me scared however, I actually see people going into this place DAILY . I tried for myself and got a chicken sandwich combo and tenders with fries(21$) The guy in front was very nice and polite and the wife was the cook. From the menu I wasn't expecting much and with them being across from the shipyard don't expect huge portions - their clientele are working 10 hours shifts with 30min lunches lol ? . However the portion should fill you up decent . My food was made to order which I appreciated , had I not wanted to wait I would've called it in. Clean but dated environment but again their clientele is ship yard so people aren't eating inside. Again food is GREAT ??“

“Wow. This place gets 5 YUMS from us! Looks like we missed National Sandwich Day, but we finally got the chance to try out McAlister’s and it did not disappoint! It did take a little while to decide what to get because their menu is so (beautifully) varied! I ended up getting the 1/2 salad (Pecanberry) and 1/2 sandwich (Harvest Chicken Salad). The price was very good, especially as I was so surprised at the portion given of both! -My sandwich was served on a croissant… a WHOLE croissant! The croissant was toasted just right, making it slightly crispy but not burnt. The salad and the dressing served with the salad were fabulous, as well. Until this meal, I had 2 favorite places to get green salads and one favorite place to get Chicken Salad. Now I have ONE favorite place to get both: McAlister’s. No joke. Plus, customer service there rocks! My husband and I are looking very forward to our next visit and asked for a take-out menu so it doesn’t take us so long to order next time! 😆“

“They go above and beyond: I joined my book club ladies for dinner last night at Press 626. I have some mobility issues and was advised to take the back steps upon arriving. I was well assisted up the stairs and taken to our table. The servers could not have been more pleasant. When it was time to leave one of the female employees assisted me down the front steps and to my waiting car. They made me feel very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you so much.“

“We came here as a group of 6 on a Tuesday evening, and we were seated at their smallest table. When we asked to be moved to a larger (there were 3 open larger tables) we were told that the "wait" was too long. All 3 tables sat empty the entire time we ate. 3 of the 6 people in our party ordered the blackened sword fish at $34/plate. The orders came as grilled and they were severely over cooked. When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.“

“I mainly come out here for live music and the weekly open mics. I don’t drink so I have no need to sit at the bar. However, I will say that the server with the black hair is one of the most unpleasant individuals I’ve ever encountered. She’s always working on Thursdays (open mic nights). You would think that I rejected her back in high school or something. I try to get along with everyone but sometimes some people really just suck. Other than that, I love the place.“

“I usually call ahead so when I go on lunch I can just grab it, pay, and go. Even if I don't call ahead of time the food is made quickly and tastes fine. $10 for a bacon cheeseburger with a decent amount of fries and a canned drink is honestly the best deal you'll get around here as a shipyard worker, at least in my opinion. They aren't rude, as some other reviews have said, they're just blunt. And I respect that. All in all 4/5 stars and I'll continue to eat here.“
