“Very nice hometown coffee shop! Just moved to the area so we always look for a local coffee shop and this is our favorite! They roast the coffee in house and it is super smooth, no bite! They also carry several Gluten Free baked goods which is a plus for us as well. Didn't realize they had Gluten free items until our 3rd trip in, look closely at the chart on the case or just ask. Super friendly staff, very helpful, all around great place! Cool fact, the building was built in 1787, plaque on front, which makes it one of the oldest downtown! Highly recommend!!“

“I went to Metro Diner for the 1st time today. They were very busy. My son and I didn’t mind what we thought it was fair wait since we were catching up for the time I haven’t seen him. We were pleasantly surprised when the owner treated us breakfast. They were busy on Sunday morning and the service and food was still outstanding! Thank you guys. You made our mother son date today truly amazing. I’ll definitely be back.“

“A hole in the wall restaurant that we'd never find it Yelp didn't pop up a notification telling us to try it when we were in the area. The food was really good and priced very well for the quantity served. Staff was extremely friendly and went out of the way to ensure our 10 month old was comfortable. I got their Saithong spicy noodle and asked them to make it Thai spicy - it was very good! My wife got the panang Curry which is her favorite and her baseline to test a Thai restaurant and that was very good as well. Definitely recommend this place!“

“My family has always enjoyed every cupcake from Sweet Reasons. Recently, we purchased a cheesecake. Oh my gosh, it was SO delicious! The cheesecake feeds an army (that’s a compliment!). “We were roadtripping on 95 and needed a place to stop for snacks so we selected Foode and Mercantile. What a very pleasant surprise. After winding through a tree lined road boarding the river, we found the restaurant in quaint downtown Fredericksburg, VA. We each ordered bourbon based drinks, coffee, tea and Smoked Salmon, Quiche and a gingerbread scone! It was delicious! They quickly fixed what was a smaller than normal portion of salmon and kept coffee and water glasses full without asking. Very nice spot! Fresh cooked to order food with great service! “I had the vegan birria tacos, which were excellent. Sadly, though, they were out of a lot: corn tortillas, vegan asada, and vegan pastor. I was really hoping to try all of those. My wife enjoyed the chicken corn cakes. Our friend ordered a veggie burrito, but it was mostly rice. It was not his favorite. Keep in mind: the place is tiny with only 3 small table tops and a small "bar" area. Thankfully, since there were 7 of us, we were able to use two metal "patio tables" outside. The staff were EXCEPTIONAL.“

With chains, the food seems to be the same no matter which one you go so this review is based more on the excellent service that I received from Kayla. She was very attentive and timely! As the mother of a child with a food allergy, Kayla put my concerns to ease and made me feel confident that my child (who hardly eats out as a result) was in fond hands. Her positive attitude and confidence made all the difference! Never did we realize we were low on drinks, soups, salads, or even bread sticks which almost filled us all the way up before our entrees even came. At that point she was vert efficient in not making us wait too long to get boxes for our uneaten food or our bill. It’s a lot from me to admit I would go back to a chain restaurant but if I knew for sure that we would get Kayla again, I would be far less hesitant.“

“It was really, really good. We have never been here, just passing thru and were the only ones in the restaurant. Little hesitant to stop but it was worth it. Egg rolls were perfectly crispy and the duck sauce was sweet and tangy. My husband ordered sesame chicken which was also really good and I had Chicken that was lightly fried with garlic and ginger sauce (can't remember the name of it) and it was really amazing too. You will be glad you stopped!“
