But not Marie, the desserts she makes taste amazing every time. She's super creative and is always coming up with new recipes, great customer service! “I absolutely loved Early Bird Biscuit Company. The environment alone is worth the visit — delightful, warm, and full of character. The space is decorated with vintage early-1900s artwork, much of it featuring dogs, which gives the place a really charming, unexpected personality. There’s also an old National cash register and an apothecary-style glass cabinet for the bakery items that make it feel timeless and thoughtfully curated.

The food was excellent. I had a huge biscuit stacked with two pieces of sausage and egg, and everything tasted genuinely made from scratch — because it clearly is. The biscuit was substantial, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, not just big for the sake of being big.

What really ties it all together is the staff. Everyone was pleasant, happy, and clearly enjoying what they do. You can feel the joy they put into making the biscuits, and that energy carries straight through to the customer experience.

“The owner is probably one of the nicest persons in the carver neighborhood. I love their cookies and cupcakes. But if you really want to be blown away you need to try their pizza. “My husband and I just had the pleasure of visiting this bakery. Immediately on arrival you are met with the most delicious aromas of baked happiness. We got a loaf of sourdough, a cinnamon roll, a scone, and coffees. Obviously, we went immediately home and tried them. The sourdough is tangy and has a wonderful crust and chew.

“Sefton is the greatest cafe in richmond, the staff are so kind to everyone who comes in. I get the same thing every time I come in to the point where barista’s and the owners know my order 😂. I get it bc it’s easy on my stomach, but they have such an amazing looking menu and are always changing it to fit the season! They really helped us narrow down our options and speak to the way in which each flavor and icing style would present aesthetically so that we could help coordinate our choices to fit our wedding! They also were extremely patient as our guest count fluctuated and allowed us to edit our guest count accordingly up until the very end! The cupcakes and cake turned out BEAUTIFULLY! People were absolutely raving about how delicious the wedding cake was — some even said it was the best they’ve ever had! They also helped facilitate our design plan of incorporating edible flowers into our desserts. It looked so cool and unique! I would totally recommend them to anyone in the market for a wedding or event. They’re great!“

My favorite has always been the butter cookies, but the cheese danishes, Gingerbread Men, cakes, bread, and honestly, everything is delicious!
